This file is intended for version 14.3.0 of FM14, and will need to be re-applied if/when patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are re-installed when patches come out.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 14 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed. It will also fix the fact that the German National team doesn't call up real players. These are fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for Italian and French clubs to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, with 23 media files added to encompass all major footballing nations and continents. It also includes a small file to correct some incorrect national kit colours and ones whose kits were not displaying. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all these files to work, however, you will need to start a new game.
Magrippinho very helpfully created a YouTube video on how this file should be installed. Some of the contents are different - but the procedure is identical, although of course you use the equivalent folder for FM14.
Or, you can follow the below instructions to install this file:
Step 1: Go to
PC
Step 2: Delete the dbc, edt and lnc folders from the folder above
Step 3: Copy the dbc, edt and lnc folder from this download into the folder mentioned in step 1.
Step 4: Go to:
Step 6: Keeping the folder in step 5 open, go back to the file you downloaded and open the folder named "editor data files".
Step 7: Copy everything from the folder in step 6 into the folder mentioned in step 5.
To check if the file is working, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly.

If JAMIENNG could upload a screenshot of his edt and lnc folders, I could confirm if everything is indeed in the correct place or not.

Delete the existing dbc, edt and lnc folder and replace them with the ones from the downloaded file. Not merge them, not copy the contents, delete them

I think China is only empty because there are not enough players on my database load up with 4 european leagues.
excellent...
On a final note; can you see anything else in the screen shot that would indicate to you that another update file might not work that i have not noticed, for a similar reason.
Thanks again, new career!!!

I am French, I know the French championships.
For the French first division, we can no longer say "Ligue 1 Orange" since 2008. It is only "Ligue 1".
This is the same case for the French second divison (Ligue 2 Orange is not and yes Ligue 2).
There is another case to be corrected: The fourth French division.
Football manager called the "Championnat de France Amateurs (CFA)." It is not that but it is "Championnat de France Amateur (without the s).
Thank you for the updates later.

Everything does seem to be in order
Thanks for these
I have no plans to release a new version any time soon, sorry - there's no real need.

This is one of the things SI seemed to get right in FM 14 but now it seems to of gone back to the old way.
For example In one save i am Brighton & in my under 21 league I am now playing teams like wycombe, Luton, Aldershot, Carlise etc where before the patch I was playing teams like Cardiff, Crystal Palace, Crawley etc. The under 18 has changed in exactly the same way.
Any Ideas how I can stop this from happening but still enjoy the Real name fixes ????

As far as I know, this file does not affect anything of the sort at all Can you try downloading the latest version of this file, ensure you apply it properly, and start a new game to see if the issue you still mention is still there?
Please read the advice I gave to JAMIENNG here. I suspect you have the same issue. If not, please post a screenshot of your edt and lnc folders.
Buy an original version of the game.

It'll be added in any forthcoming update
In the meantime you can add the below to your City, Club and Stadium Names.lnc fodler using notepad and it'll work in your save game as well
Buy an official version of the game.
