Susie Wants YOU!

As you may/may not be aware, the forum activity has waned slightly in recent months - whilst our graphics section are still producing the best stuff on the scene, our tactics/players/general FM and careers section is unfortunately lagging behind. Susie was once the greatest place for FM content, both written and downloadable - and we want to put the site back on the map!

To do this, we'll need your help - we are currently looking for more site staff to help us out with this. We're looking for staff for all sections of the site to contribute basically whatever you want! All you have to do is fill out the simple form below and pop it in a PM to myself, and we'll get in touch.

Just put DanW19 and I in charge of the careers section.

Should probably concentrate on fixing the servers first.

Imagine how pissed off people who pay for downloads are to see the site down half the time.

Or even in the case of "I need to ask a quick question. Oh the site is down, I'll go ask somewhere else"

We're working on that, our new hosts are pretty hopeless.

Adding to what Poe has already said, every application will be treated the same, so don't be scared to apply if you're a newer member, or simply because you do not post much on the forums.

I think getting people to apply for positions is probably the wrong way to go about it, I'm sure I've read somewhere you have hired staff before and they haven't stayed around too long. I think the best way to do it is see who helps improve the site over time and adds discussion to it and go from there. Then as the site improves you can approach members for certain roles who you know should stick around. Also that way you know what you're getting when you hire some one, the process is probably longer to get the positions filled, but at least you will get the right members to fill the position and it will hopefully save you from being in a position to ask for staff again in the long run.

We've tried that technique for a while and it hasn't really worked.

This is the first time we've advertised for staff in a very long time!

Last time the site asked for applications was probably over 10 years ago when the likes of Cleon and Caley were in charge. The problem now is that there is not enough activity to be able to handpick members from to be staff. So this was really the only way to be able to get a good look at what members feel they can add to the site.
