Hello guys,

Sorry for intruding here, among dedicated FM gamers. I also play FM, however, I didn't move on forward from FM12. I still play FM12 and I play it slowly, match by match, paying attention to all details.

So, I have one question related to FM12. When I look back to some old results and matches from the previous season, I cannot enter the specific match report, meaning that I cannot view goals and highlights and everything else from a particular old match. All I can see is the result and the scorers, and nothing else.
Is there any option in the settings of FM12 that will allow me to view all the highlights from matches that were played in the previous season?

Can you access match reports and highlights of old matches when playing FM14?

Thanx in advance for your response.

I don't think there is, sorry. But just to be sure, head over the FM Forums and ask there. Unless someone here has a better answer that is.

I don't think there is either, if the game were to hold onto the information for all the matches you played it would slow the game down immensely.

I always use incremental saves and save specific dates (particularly end of season May time) for this very reason

I realise it doesn't help you now, but incremental saves are definitely a good idea.

I'd never even thought of doing that, great wee tip. Gonna use that myself, I love loving back at how things were at my club, at the end of every season I usually make a note of finances, the wage bill, ticket prices, season ticket holders, etc to see how they change. That save idea is better though, more depth.

You used to be able to choose how many matches are stored. Not any more.

Thank you guys for these explanations and tips. Now I feel a bit consoled cause I see that viewing detailed old matches isn't possible neither in FM14.

In the game preferences you can set to save every week, fortnight, month, 3 months or 6 months.

I have it saving by date and there's also a tickbox to use date saving when you save manually as well. So anytime you save it creates a new file with the date in the name of the save game. Basically you never overwrite anything.

This is also great for backups incase your long term save ever gets corrupted.

FM14 will save your own games for a season and all subscribed team games for around 3-4 matches. As has previously been mentioned if FM stored ALL games your hard drive would fill up and potentially would slow the game down
