STILL can't find editor data files

Hi there,
Sorry if this is in the wrong section..
I've just downloaded a ton of data files and followed the instructions exactly of where to place the folders ect. Yet when I start a new game, it is saying there aren't any custom data files. Can anyone help me?
Im using a mac if that makes any difference..also, in the past the files I have used were .xml files but these ones downloaded are all .dbc which i'm unfamiliar with

dbc files are just compressed xml files, so that shouldn't be the issue.

Can you upload a screenshot of your editor data folder, displaying clearly both the editor data folder path and its internal structure? This would help us analyse what's wrong...
