Les Sang et Or - A Player Development Project

The squad starts to look really good. So much talent. Hopefully you won't be forced to sell to many who wants to move to bigger clubs. I have a similar save going on with Palermo, and when I started the second season, doing really well, the bigger teams came sniffing, unsetteling half of my squad...

Both are projects, but with the right development they could turn into good players. Dinda in particular is promising.

It'll be a couple of years before any of these will be good enough for first team football though. Traoré's the closest, but he's got plenty of competition.

Definitely no Henry in this year's crop.

Absolutely. I've never had anything like it on FM before. I've gotten 2-3 potential world class players in each intake, which is incredible.

Great job getting Tuchel onto your staff. In my save he did such a good job at Mainz that he's now managing Germany!

Not good. Though getting a pair of fresh legs into the squad might actually be a blessing, I think I may have played too many friendlies leading into the tournament so all my players are exhausted.

Toroughly enjoyed reading this for the past hour! Played a game myself with Lens in the previous version, so a lot of those names sound familiar. Keep on going, really fun (and useful) to read.

Franck, this is an epic story and I really feel like you have created something very special that changes the game. This is apparent by the other people who have been inspired by your Lens save and are taking your player development and scouting approach to play (and the others who I suspect are planning to do something similar once they finish their current saves.)

You have done nothing short of revolutionising how to play the game. I think this will eventually prove to be big as the introduction of LLaMA was all those years ago. I certainly hope to see this thread in the Hall of Fame when all is said and done.

Time to say farewell to one of my young stars:



Every player has a price, for Ødegaard it was €30M in straight-up cash.
With that money I'll be able to raise the wages of other key players like Tariq and Adnan which will hopefully help me keep them for longer.

Ødegaard's replacement:



A very similar player who can play all across midfield, though without the world class potential that really made Ødegaard stand out. Brought him in for €3.6M

The best performance since I took over takes us to our first cup final, that it was against bitter rivals Lille just makes it even sweeter.
