I really like Horvath. I had a save with Austria Wien on FM13, and then he turned out to be a great play maker.

We played pretty well in January:



Overall this season has gone much better than the last, much thanks to a tactical change I made early in the season. Out went the defensively unstable 4-2-3-1 that had me concede an astounding 68 goals in the league last year and in with a 4-3-3 featuring an anchor man to provide some defensive stability.



I have scored more goals and conceded less than last year, I no longer get destroyed by the big boys and as you could see before, I've managed to reach my first cup final. My players are also much improved in this new system, my centre backs are performing much better, Adnan is starting to look world class and Cyprien and Bahebeck look like completely different players. I used to be sceptical about Bahebeck playing as an inside forward, after 10 goals in 22 games, that scepticism is now gone.

Finally made use of the buy-out clause in Mohlin's loan deal, he's a really good back-up who could take over after Areola if I end up selling him in the future. Cissé was a nice bargain I just couldn't resist, even though he arguably doesn't have a future with us. I'll probably end up selling him on for a nice profit in the summer. Angban and Emana are two promising African newgens that I am pleased to have gotten so cheaply.
Brought in Denayer and Batshuayi after they impressed me at the Olympics, Batshuayi has a buy-out clause of €8M in his loan deal that I'll make use of in the summer.


Aloé sadly didn't develop as I'd hoped and couldn't find any playing time behind Jansson, Nattestad and Landre. Guillaume became expendable because of the incredible development of Henry and the acquisition of Strandberg last season. Diógenes was never going to develop into a first team player for us and I am very pleased to have made a €1.1M profit on him only six months after signing him for free. Leghait never developed like I had hoped, Bourigeaud still has potential but he doesn't fit into any of the roles in my midfield, he doesn't have the defensive ability to play as an anchor and he doesn't have the mobility to play as a box-to-box midfielder or roaming playmaker, while Necid lost his place in the team after I acquired Batshuayi.

And a look at the players I signed:



A good defender who's confident with the ball at his feet. Should be able to sell him on for a profit in the future.



A quick and fairly complete striker who really belongs at a bigger club than us. Much more mobile than his predecessors, which adds a new element to our game.



A left-winger with world class potential, I'm going to re-train him into a left-back as I think this guy could become the Ivorian Roberto Carlos. He has everything you'd look for in a wing-back on the attacking side and he's already decent at marking, needs a lot of work on the mental side but that should come with age and experience. A real bargain.



Young goalkeeper with nice potential. Will be our third option for the coming few years.

Some decent looking signings, especially the Ivorian. Could you suggest me some other clubs with great youth facilities to give it a go myself?
