Serious question, how would you honestly feel if Moyes was doing this last season?

You're not going to get a universal answer on this. Sam's a massive fan of Herrera so he'll definitely bring up who Rooney is playing over and be angry about it.

I don't really mind, I think he is the most complete of the players we've got who can play as an 8 and as a temporary measure its not really that bothering. The big issue is Rooney is not playing well, but he barely has at all in the last 2 years, so thats not surprising and that the Falcao/Van Persie partnership is so static, slow, and shit.

As long as we sign someone who can do it instead of Rooney next season its no issue. In the meantime I'd rather see us drop Falcao and play another man in midfield alongside Rooney.

How did you know?

I just find it baffling really, and I would have if Moyes did it too. I'll also add that I've wanted Rooney gone for ages, now he's playing every match because he's our captain and has that privilege, despite he's not played well for fucking ages.

I now agree with Ninja about Falcao too. We won't keep him on anyway, way too much money and he hasn't done enough to warrant us paying that sort of money. I like him, and he probably will do well elsewhere, but not here. I'd rather we play Wilson tbh.

Some day I hope we'll get to see Blind/Herrera play in midfield together.

Just come home to the good news! Not sure who I want to come in now, who's currently available?

Highly doubt he has a shout but I think we could do far worse than to give Dean Smith a shot, lives in the area and has produced miracles building a talented young side with absolutely no money that has gone from relegation fodder to play-off contenders and reached their first ever Wembley final, all whilst playing exciting, fast paced football.

Di Maria looked good tonight, hopefully he kicks on from that.

We look a good side when he's on the ball running at players. Smalling was generally quite good too, don't know why Jones came in for him but hopefully Smalling and Rojo will be reunited again when Shaw's back.

Oh and I really like McNair, he's going to be quality.

Good to see some of the signings starting to gel for us after the slow starts, Markovic has been great recently, and Can is doing a fantastic job even when played as a CB

Oh and Mario of course..

Ibe was your best player.

He looked fantastic the entire game.

Second half was somewhat better for us, obviously on the whole pretty dreadful. Di Maria was very good, Januzaj too I thought and McNair looked great.

Hopefully we'll start Wilson next game instead of Falcao or RVP.

Rooney upfront with Herrera in midfield is the obvious choice.

Doubt it though.

He didn't look worried by the occasion tbf, doubt there'll be any issues with him.

I think Rooney in a midfield 3 would be alright tbh, doesn't suit it in a 2 though.
