This file will need to be re-applied if/when patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are automatically re-installed by Steam when official patches come out.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 15 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed. It will also fix the fact that the German National team doesn't call up real players. These are fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for German, Italian and French clubs to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, with 26 media files added to encompass all major footballing nations and continents. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all these files to work, however, you will need to start a new game.
Magrippinho very helpfully created a YouTube video on how this file should be installed. Some of the contents are different - but the procedure is identical, although of course you use the equivalent folder for FM15.
Or, you can follow the below instructions to install v2.0 of this file (if you are installing a previous version please use the 1500 folder instead of the 1530 folder:
Step 1: Go to
PC
Slightly more detail in this post
Linux
Step 2: Delete the edt and lnc folders from the folder above
Step 3: Copy the edt and lnc folder from this download into the folder mentioned in step 1.
Step 4: Go to:
Step 6: Keeping the folder in step 5 open, go back to the file you downloaded and select the folder named "FM15 Real Names Fix Files from sortitoutsi.net v2.0".
Step 7: Paste the circled folder directly into the folder mentioned in step 5.
Step 8: This should be what your editor data folder looks like. There may also be a config.xml file in this folder and can be safely retained; it is generated by FM every time the game starts.
To make sure the files have been applied correctly, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase in your saved game, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly. Club names (including the German ones) are only changed if you apply the editor data files before starting a new game. For a workaround if you've already started a new save-game, then please read the opening post of this thread.
Some of these changes may not apply in FMC...

i download your link.....its was great....but one thing is RB Leipzig...
I am trying a search on Editor 2015 for RB Leipzig...not there...so I am trying to search it on FM15..its there but not Editor 2015 why?....can you tell me what the name of RB Leipzig if you know?
Different name? full name? can you help please?
thanks
mons
Club in the German tier do not have their correct name in the default database, due to licensing reason (which is where this file comes in).
In this case RB Leipzig are named as RBL, with the UID 91013388.

thank you very much mate!

Ok so I just checked in there and I see no mention of German team name files!? Can you tell me what I should be looking for and if there is a separate file I can download so I can get that working again. Thanks.

In the all folder there is fake.Inc, greek name change.Inc, Korean name change.Inc, lic_dan_swe_fra.Inc, nleague.Inc, and last turkish name change.Inc. These are all LNC files.
In the greek folder there is only one LNC file called person_name_changes.Inc.
That is all there is in the INC folder as a whole. Didn't have anywhere to host the screenshots so just did this instead. I hope it helps.

Delete these two folders.

Does this fix works with the Demo version, I won't buy the full version until I make sure this will work with the demo.
Your help please,

Since the demo consists of quickstarts rather than actually starting a new game, the German national team will by default not appear at the start. However, if you holiday till the time national squads are next called up, the real players should then appear, as long as you've applied the files correctly.
engmannoun
OK, I will give it a try...
Thanks a lot for your efforts and your fast response

Yes its working, after the first match for Germany the names are real.
Is it the same regarding the bundesliga clubs names like Shalke (because its still fake)
Thanks
mons
You'll have the same issue with renamed German club names since the files need to be in place before the save-game (or in this case, quick start) is created. If you buy the game and have the files in place once you install it, then you'll be sorted

Yep
When 15.3 is released, make sure you come back to this thread to download the version of the files released for that patch as well

I downloaded this and seems to work, only problem is that the French League has gone...

Boom worked man. Thanks! Gotze going to the World Cup!!
Barkermush
Some of it has worked, Champions Cup is called Uefa Champions League etc.
But German team names are not appearing, such as Schalke, who are still coming up as Gelsenkirchen on the game etc.
I re-installed the real name fix files after the last steam updates.

Barkermush
That could explain it, just loading a new game up to see.
Thanks.

Just to notify that the Portuguese "Primeira Liga" has changed to the ''Liga NOS'', don't know if anyone already updated that info.

If there's anything more that somebody feels bound to share, no matter how obvious and evident it may appear, then please feel free to get in touch so that any change may be included in v2.0 for FM15.3, which I suspect is not very far away from release and which will most likely be the last official version for FM15
