Well not how I wanted to start off, need to familiarize myself with this team again quite a few names I don't know. So only made the one change, Casaldi was suspended so Antonio was promoted to starting lineup.

Schurrle was on fire and I thought we were in for an easy victory however everytime the ball fell to Hernandez in the box he put it away with ease.

Schurrle's goal was an absolute cracker. Defence is still a bit open but expected when you play as attacking as we do. I also really like this Rui Rei guy too.

Well then.

Not much happened in this game apart from the goals and Kane as with Hernandez in the earlier game was putting anything away when he was in the box and the ball was fed to him.

Fisted them, only worry is that 2 of the 3 shots they had on target they scored with, still a sublime attacking performance.

Top of the table clash, Robello had one chalked off very early on but I didn't see this game going any other way. Nothing really of note happened, Mignolet didn't have to do much nor did Bentley.

Still can't keep a clean sheet but as long as the goals aren't drying up I won't be too concerned. Antunes missed the Liverpool game with suspension comes back and bags 2 goals from center defence

Again conceding but the old adage of score more then the opponent is at play. We are still tied at the top with Liverpool but have conceded 10 goals more then they have.

Well we should have had a clean sheet here however their goal was quite amusing. Back pass to keeper, keeper kicks it into shins of Helenius and goal. We go top by 2 points with a game in hand over Liverpool. However Man Utd have 3 games in hand over us and are 9 points behind, our goal difference slightly better though.

Hmmm.

Well this blows the league table right open. 1 point above Man Utd and Chelsea and 3 above Liverpool however Man Utd still have 2 games in hand on us.

So I send out a rotated squad and they give me my first clean sheet of my stint. Go figure.

Well Scott's 200th league game ends in disappointment. Newcastle had 3 shots on target and put them all away. Frustrating.

Brings and end to my stint with the table looking like this. I made no moves in the market as I am still yet to be fully familiar with the squad and we have a shit load of loanees that I am yet to see what are capable of so no point in myself making any moves. However Fola will have about £30m to work with and half of january to do it in if he feels the need.

Great come back Spanky! Schürrle seems to be quite a capture. Justifying his wage.

Have to have a replay against Newcastle. Would be nice to win the FA Cup.

Very poor against Watford who were in the relegation zone.
