Succession Game

First game, Rodgers hat trick, just a shame I was telling Itchy he is 32. Could have been our new Kluk.

Had to withdraw the offer to Beautyman as we couldn't afford it. Shame because he looks like an absolute beast and with the latest injury to a center mid he would have prolly walked straight into the team.

Just played my second game against Dartford and 1 min 30 into the game Rodgers goes off injured, then 30 mins later his replacement goes off injured. We managed to win 3-1 thanks to two penalties and there is no serious damage done to the players thankfully and might just have to rest them for the next game.

I've had this happen on my current save, it's frustrating and annoying.

Great effort. I've stuck with the tactic that Fola used last but added my own as a secondary just in case. Take a while before we are fairly competent with it and will need to adjust some roles and instructions based on our players but is good to have backups. Think when I give the game back to Itchy he should look to add a 3rd tactic so we each have our own stamp on the save.

In my Liverpool game I had Skrtel get sent off, I used my 3rd sub then I had 3 players go off injured pretty much bang bang bang. At one point I had over 10 first teamers out injured. Injuries were bad last years game in that it seems they were longer term injuries whereas here I have players go off injured and are right to play the next game.

It's getting to be a joke now

Thought I would show you the whole squad so you can see how everyone is performing and how many damn injuries I have. Even Rodgers has only just come back from a lay off as well as a few others.



So just the one loss and I have to say it was inevitable, that particular game against Telford was with a pretty much entirely rotated squad due to fatigue and injury.

I have no idea how we managed to hold on against Lincoln as I had a send off and 2 injuries after using all subs.

Kidderminster scored a late equalizer to force a replay in the fa cup which I am fairly confident we can win if we don't lose any more players to injury.



Rodgers and Arnold are animals in this league, unfortunately Rodgers has spent some time on the sideline and Arnold is out for 5 weeks, I also terminated the loan of one of the backup keepers as he kept whinging about not playing and wanted it terminated.
So along with sitting in 3rd we also lead the league in injuries, outstanding.

Arnold is missed between the sticks. After two minutes our second choice goalkeeper fumbles and we're 1-0 down. Then they scored 2-0 from the penalty spot before Rodgers toed in our first goal late in the first half. Norwood equalized, but still disapointed with only a draw against Torquay.



More of the same in the cup. We leveled their lead twice, but couldn't do enough in the shoot out.





Back in the league, but I still can't win...

Still a lot of injuries, but I reduced the training work load, so maybe that will help some. I loaned in Paddy McLaughlin, a midfielder to help covering for injured players, but after 30 minutes into his first game (against Dover) he had to come off injured... I would like to send him back to Grimsby but it seems I can't do that.

I don't really understands what this means.

Had this when I was at Woking, it means instead of adding to the fixture congestion you play into extra time instead of the routine second leg you usually would have in the FA Trophy

Thanks Dan, I thought it might be something like that, though I have to say there might be a way of writing that in a clearer way. But then again, English is my second language - things doesn't always make sense then...







Now that's more like it! Three straight wins in the beginning of December. In the match against Woking I gave Parkin the chance as Rodgers needed a rest. And that's how you do it! Stop whining and do your best when given the opportunity.

I have signed new contracts with a couple of players - everone with lower wages than they had before!

Watford loaned us two strikers that we don't need, but as they don't cost us anything they might as well hang around. It would be great if anyone could take care or Hughes and Parkin for us, but so far noone is interested. Hopefully Fola can do something about it - I'm sendning the file now.

Welcome home.

I managed to get him on a three month loan. I have nearly finished my two months, will post before I go to sleep.

Actually, I'll update tomorrow- I'm knackered.

As well as bringing in THE KLUK on loan, I also made the loan signing of Jonathan Smith a permanent one on a free transfer from Luton. He's done well for us so far this season and has high work rate and stamina which I feel is very important in the lower leagues. I also brought in Gareth Evans on a free transfer from League One side Fleetwood. He can play on either wing or upfront so adds a bit of depth to our squad.


Also managed to agree a deal with Welling to sign Harry Beautyman at the end of the season. We had agreed a fee of £100k earlier on in the season however I managed to secure him for £20k which is pleasing.

I've finished my two months now leaving Spanky with our last push for the play offs!


My results were a bit of a mixed bag really. We got a good draw away at fellow play off contenders Braintree and battered Alfreton. We then were on the end of a battering ourselves from Nuneaton. James Jennings was sent off just before half time, we failed to deal with the sending off and conceded three second half goals.

We were 3-0 up against Grimsby in the first 15 minutes however we somehow managed to concede three goals in the last 20 minutes! We then lost to Alty thanks to a last minute goal after it looked like substitute Marcus Kelly has grabbed us a point. We beat Telford and Southport who are the bottom two in the league so it was expected. In my final game we gained a solid draw away at Barnet.



Unfortunately it looks like Gateshead have run away with the league so if we keep it up then play offs are definitely on the cards. If we can keep Luke Rodgers fit then we'll be fine, especially now we have THE KLUK as well, I'm very optimistic about our chances.
