There is a free mega pack on UT that has 30 items in it. There will be one every day but I don't know how many days they are doing it for. I'd guess at 6 days though because its celebrating 6 years of FUT.

Just opened the pack, nearly all of it was contracts and just 3 rare gold players. Only 1 player above 80 rating as well

EA murdered UT with the price ranges, anyway.

I have a Robben and a Ibra that will not sell now, listed them at the minumum and nobody bids. Poor.

I agree with that, but at least when the "coin sellers" were active there was still a market. There isn't a market at all now.

There is a market - just not for the best players all the time. People aren't going to have enough money to buy the best players all the time - that's just life.

Then play the game properly and earn the coins. FIFA points are at the prices they are for a reason, EA deserve to make money from the game they made.

This.

Buying coins makes playing UT pointless. I wouldn't want to pay real money to get something that can be got for nothing by just playing the game.

Nah, considering you pay 50 quid for the game, which half the time doesn't work, they don't 'deserve' to make ridiculous money for the FIFA points. Yeah if they were fairly priced fair enough, but they're really not. You hardly get any coins from playing games, this is to basically force you to buy FIFA points if you want a decent team. As Poe pointed out you can just play with a shitter team and still beat most teams as it's about the player. but the whole concept of it has gotten worse since it's come out. Obviously you'll want the best team/your favourite players, which is almost impossible to get enough coins by playing games.

I've managed to get all the players I wanted by spending coins gained from matches, tournament wins and by using those coin boosts from the in-game catalogue. Rooney, David Silva, Hummels, Lloris, Ozil, Sterling, Fabregas, Mata and loads more. Trading is an easy source of coins too, I made about 15k in 15 minutes last night just from buying and selling Mata on for a profit. Its really not that difficult to get the team you want.

Also, I have actualy been making a team over the last couple of weeks based on players that cost me 1000 coins or less. I was quite surprised at how cheap some players have become. 1000 or less team

Yeah and none of those players are particularly expensive players. Now I know for example not everybody should afford a Ronaldo but to use him as an example, someone worked out it would take 191 days of playing Fifa straight to get him. Seeing as you only get around 450 coins for a match. Now I don't promote coins selling or anything, but I can see why people would rather buy say 100k coins for cheaper than it is to buy similar amount of Fifa points. If Fifa points were fairly priced, I'd understand it more, but the price ranges have fucked it even more, considering you can't get much coins from trading anymore. Not sure how much Mata goes for these days, but 15k profit on him is fair enough, but with the ranges it's wrecked the market even more. Rather than making the problem worse, they should have left it and fixed worse bugs in the game.7

Edit: Basically, if they were going to introduce this, they should have waited till FIFA 16.

They released it in this FIFA as they wanted to test it before doing at 16 on launch. Which is good enough for me. It sends out a big fuck you to coin sellers too.

The Ronaldo theory is irrelevant. Before coin-sellers come to the fray in 13, Ronaldo was under a million on FUT12 and Messi was near the 600k mark at his peak. Taking into account divisions payouts and tournament pay outs, they are realistic prices for top tier players and allows users to get them if they graft hard enough into the game, instead of using mummy's credit card to buy coins/fifa points. Ronaldo & Messi surely will not exceed much more than 1mill on next years price bands.

Tl;dr fuck coin sellers, I hope this fucks their business up and they have to eat rats under motorway underpasses tbh

Love it

Me and my brother do say the same thing.

UT had such potential when it first came out, but it's gone to shit since.

The average rate of coins per game is around 500. The current cheapest Messi is 5million coins, that's an awful lot of games to play to get one player.

They need to raise the "rewards" of playing games to even it out.

Almost all players on the market over 800k don't get bought.

Your saying if it weren't for coin sellers Messi and Ronaldo wouldn't be so high?

Yet EA come out and slap a "minimum" sale price of 5million on Messi........... that helped.

Just had a sweet victory online against some insane pace team. He had the likes of Messi, Reus, Doumbia and all the usual suspects including a couple of IF. Finished 1-1, took him to penalties and won 7-6 \o/ That was a cup semi, i'll probably get humped in the final in a minute...although i'll get 15,000 coins if I do somehow win.

I usually get around 600-700 coins per game.

I think they should add some kind of win streak bonus. Like if you win 10 in a row on ultimate difficulty then you get a certain amount of coins or a special kind of gold pack, something like that.

We should all have IF Messi and IF Ronaldo \o/

I'd settle for any IF player to be honest. I've had 3 IF players from packs ever, 2 of those came on Fifa 12 as well.

Your not understanding.

191 days in a row (wouldn't like to think how many games that would be), without stopping it would take, playing back to back fifa games 24/7 to get one player worth five million coins, that's without having to buy contracts at 350 coins each.

Its basically unachievable for 99% of most players unless you luckily get one in a pack, which is probably about 1 every six billion packs.

So buy more packs with the coins you get from playing or buy fifa points.

EA are protecting their product, nothing wrong with that.

That 191 straight days thing is just plain silly, you're making it sound worse than it really is. You could just do single player/online seasons or any special tournaments when they appear and get loads of coins easily. I just did one, won the final and got 15,000 coins and a pack of 12 gold rare players. I also got about 2800 coins in total just from the individual matches. Thats 17,800 coins and a gold pack in 4 games.

It took me about an hour to do that tournament. So if I did it for just 4 days in a row, instead of 191, i'd get 1,708,800 coins.
