A solid start for us, I'm happy with where we are but I'm not happy with how certain players are performing. Gnakpa for example has been a total flop and Petrovic is still struggling like mad, I don't think Petrovic will ever return to his pre-injury form.
Will look to strengthen during the winter break, will see how the second half of the season goes but I am quite tempted to walk away this summer and take a first division job.

In the league we are sitting 5th and its looking good, only 2 points off 3rd and we've hit a great streak thanks to me moving Petar Perovic from third choice AML to first choice ST. He has 6 goals in 4 games, Grahovac went slow for a few games and I just thought I may as well throw caution to the wind.
Fingers crossed. This could be it.

Big win here, only 3 games to go and this is in our hands. 1 defeat could easily derail the whole season as this squad seems incapable of bouncing back from setbacks at times. Keep the faith though, after all, our last three games are against teams in the bottom 4......

But even if we do this, I still may look to leave, need to have a serious think and need to see what players will be available to me in the summer. I have little faith in the current squad, the mid-season defensive recruitment drive was a good start, but if we do go up then we'll need strengthening in every position.

Finally it is done. Promotion. The mid-season signings pushed us on, nothing overtly spectacular but some serious consistency from them. No more 7.0,5.2,6.8,3.9,7.5 in the average ratings, we got some 6.9,6.8,6.8,7,6.9 shit. Not amazing, just steady. And I think that's what we had been missing, the young lads played their part, but in the end they just couldn't do it at a consistent level.
The squad in its current form is very mismatched, I moved swiftly from 'all-out youth movement' to 'lets just get promoted' and because of that the squad is bloated and there are some serious discrepancies in performances. Injuries really hurt some players who could have made an impact, Savic, Diaby (with that name what a shocker) and Bajic hardly played because of their on/off injuries. Regardless though we've managed to go up.
I will be trimming the squad and I will be ruthless, I've had a wee time away from playing this game so any emotional attachments I had with players are now gone. RUTHLESS AGGRESSION. My relationships with players in FM are certainly biodegradable.
The recruitment drive has already begun, got a few free transfers lined up and I will be strengthening in every position. I want a quality ST and a quality CM, I will be willing to go beyond my normal wage offerings to secure those things. For the immediate future I stay, a lot does hinge on what calibre of ST I can attract, without a real top quality first division ST I think we will struggle like mad. Ain't got no time for being the Derby of Serbia.

Thought I'd found my perfect striker too, a Ukrainian U21 international from Shakhtar, deal all agreed, he accepts the contract, then he backs down last minute. Sods law, he was exactly what I wanted, just a big step above anything we've ever had before.

So close, yet so far away. The pressure was just too much to withstand, they really were dominating the game and we had squeaked into that lead. But it does give me confidence, we can hold our own. The season boils down to consistency and injuries.

May make some changes in the mid-season window, already agreed deals for Grahovac and Savic to leave. Two good STs for the second division but not good enough for this level.

May reshuffle the leagues again after this season, sadly I think Turkey may be getting a chop without me ever washing ashore. I like the idea of Turkey but I can't say I'd be too bothered if I didn't rock up there.
We shall see, on the Borca front I've won 1 game and lost 1, my future is still very much up in the air.

It hasn't all gone to plan, my strikers have failed me and we're still scrapping it out with three games to go. However, the performances haven't been terrible and for a newly promoted side I think we've held our own.
The most frustrating thing in recent weeks has been us throwing away 1 and 2 goal leads, we just seem incapable of holding our nerve. Without Terzic I think we would have been dead and buried long ago.

Well, the signings didn't pan out. The South American experiment really bombed, none of the players made any real impact. I think the board could have been more supportive however, we were newly promoted and they wanted mid-table? Asking far too much considering the wage budget we had in relation to the rest of the league.
Not to worry though, I've had my taste of Serbia and burnt my fingers because of it. We move on, I've removed the Serbian and Turkish leagues, added Australia in to replace them. Wanted to bring the overall DB size down so Turkey was always the most likely candidate to go. Australia going in is to just give me a broad choice of leagues.
Ideally I'd like Holland next, would like a bit more money to play with too, not really feeling a big rebuild or underdog club. Want something a bit more stable, flex my guns and what not.
