We were unbelievably lucky finishing top, not happy at all with the last two results. In both those games the opposition pulled off more possession and shots than us, for the first time the 4231 looked suspect. May revert to the 433 for the CL knockouts and keep the 4231 domestically

This is the kind of consistency which has been missing over the past seven or eight seasons. Still a long, long way to go but I can only see injuries stopping us at this point. The 4231 is in full flow and everyone is playing well

Yeah it makes sense man! I've rarely played fm since I lost motivation on my long journeyman save and don't fancy starting something new now.
Looking at either an FC United save, they're now in the player leagues. Build them up not only to the BPL and CL but trying to overtake United and city on each trophy won, BPL, FA Cup etx!
Or head to Wales and try to improve that leagye, take over team. Build them up, financially, facilites. Try to win the CL then rinse and repeat with the next team

On the Wales front I can confirm that you can forcibly drag a league kicking and screaming from the doldrums of kick and rush. I won the CL with a team from Iceland, the quality of player slowly improved. During my CL runs I was never signing players from my domestic rivals unless they were Icelandic hot prospects, but after I left the quality kept going up to probably Championship level and the odd CL quality player would pass through the league. The facilities have also improved, last time I looked 5 teams had new 20k+ stadiums. That's huge, I saved the game before I resigned incase I ever wanted a brief return. I may do that at some point to see just how far Iceland could have went

Didn't really want him to leave but he wanted out for first team football, shame as he's a club grown player, could play AML, AMC and FC and had some great mental stats. We move on though, I won't be replacing him in this window as I reckon we have enough options to pull through.

Yeah I know it's achievable and would br a long ass save trying to do it with several different clubs! Just mot sure which career people would.prefer and I'd prefer to play!

Played a backup team for this match and we coasted it, never looked in doubt. Only scraped the first leg 2-1 too, that was mainly due to the game following a shocking 3-0 defeat to Genoa that came from absolutely nowhere. Rebuilt our confidence in a 5-0 smashing of Verona and entered this 2nd leg sky high.

My 8th full season in charge brings me my first Serie A title. Great performance in this game and its fitting that Boukhari delivered the final blow to Juventus in the title race with this performance.
Where does this leave me and Palermo? I'm not sure, I've won my title, all that remains in the CL. Is that enough to keep me interested? I'm not too sure. I'm going to finish up the season, analyse the squad and see what I could potentially do over the summer.
The squad is ridiculously young, we could go on and win plenty more Serie A titles but its all about my own interest levels. China or the MLS would be my most likely destinations if I do depart

League + the Italian cup, great season for us. Takes the club value up to £700m too, £315m more than Juve and the 8th highest in the World.

The 4231 was the real catalyst for winning this season, in Europe it made us flimsy, in the league it helped us find consistency and the wins we needed against our fellow title contenders. I do think the time is now right for me to leave Palermo, I've won the title I wanted to win. The chase for the CL or a new stadium just won't be enough to keep me interested, I've already won the CL in this career and I've already had two new stadiums built during my stints at clubs in the career too. Both were nice Palermo aims, but I'm more than happy with the league win and the manner in which we did it.
I went down a massive youth route and its more than paid off, just look at these squad values now;
There's some serious sell on value amongst that lot, but I shall not be here to see it.
Gonna decide on what new league to add in place of Italy and pick pastures new.
