The live transfer update file is in XML. How does this work? The other editor files are fmf.

Think of fmf files as compressed versions of their xml equivalent. The game reads both versions so there's nothing for you to worry about.

what Mons says

you can if you prefer fmf just load the file in the editor and save it as fmf
NB you will then have 2 files so only select one on game start up just deleted the xml if you dont want that
