Gnanduillet Seals Move Away From Hartlepool

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Ix1ORufl4TqPCWAwPQ9jbL03g1jeIIEuP2qx9ci2.png

Striker Armand Gnanduillet will join Conference side Southport from Hartlepool after a fee of £20k was agreed for the former Chesterfield front man. Gnanduillet, 25, only managed six appearances for Hartlepool and failed to find the net in those appearances. Gnanduillet will join Southport when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Adam Boyd stated that he was disappointed that Gnanduillet did not make the impact he wanted at the club however stated he was happy with the money the club received: " It's a shame it hasn't worked out for Gnanduillet here at the club as he is a good player. However, he wasn't in my plans and we managed to get a good fee for him as well which is pleasing. This money will give us a bit of cash to hopefully strengthen the side in January if the right player comes along".

Pennant To Join Hartlepool In January

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ItLnzoWxg2DYujtNfpxc0bwNea38Uu8R6jnSRIIB.png

Duckworth Turns Down Offer Of Hartlepool New Deal

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/OBIsn43iJYh1rS54YI9BmRZ55lt8VAjoy3eSClWU.png

Hartlepool defender Michael Duckworth has cast his future at the club into doubt after turning down a new deal at the club. Duckworth has been a key figure for Adam Boyd's side this season however contract talks have stalled with the right back's current contract running out at the end of the season.

Duckworth has been ever present this season for Hartlepool and it is expected that Adam Boyd will be looking to offer the right back a new and improved deal. It is thought that Adam Boyd is reluctant to cash in on the defender in January despite Duckworth being able to leave the club on a free in the future. It is unclear why Duckworth has refused a new deal however it is thought to be over the player's wage demands. Duckworth has been stand in captain in recent matches with Harry Worley injured and club captain Danny Hollands currently out of favour at Victoria Park.

Hartlepool won comfortably against Exeter to keep pressure on the league leaders Portsmouth. Scott Fenwick put Hartlepool ahead with sixth goal of the season before Rakish Bingham's cross was turned into his own net by Exeter defender Curtis Smith-Brown.

Scott Fenwick was top goalscorer for Hartlepool last season however had seen himself out of the side due to injury and the form of Rushian Hepburn-Murphy. However, Scott Fenwick seems to have found his goalscoring touch and he put Hartlepool ahead with a deft header early on. Rakish Bingham then caused mayhem in the Exeter box as his cross cannoned in off Exeter defender Smith-Brown to seal the win for Hartlepool. Hartlepool face Accrington Stanley next in the league who currently sit in third position in the League Two table.

Mendez-Laing Turns Down Newport As He Is Banished To Reserves

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/OKytdjlgFT7U9AG7PeAYpQQFgfeWfk6LMyInt7MS.png

Hartlepool midfielder Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has been forced to train with the club's reserve team for the remainder on his contract after turning down a permanent move to fellow League Two side Newport County. Mendez-Laing handed in a transfer request at Hartlepool last week however has turned down Newport after talks stalled due to Mendez-Laing's wage demands.

Hartlepool manager Adam Boyd could not hide his anger at Mendez-Laing's decision to turn down Newport: "At the end of the day, he's dug his own grave and will not feature again at the club while I am still manager here. I want players who want to be here and players who want to fight for this club. Mendez-Laing obviously thinks he can get a better deal elsewhere so let him do that. He's turned down Newport due to wages which to be honest it completely sums up the lad. He will train with the youth team and reserves until he can get a transfer out of here".

Hartlepool travel to Barnet next in the league.

Ebby Nelson-Addy Signs New Long Term Hartlepool Deal

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/deQpzlQRREoaXOLbPAyUXMDJnQacOGFfbTbQ3wRG.png

Hartlepool midfielder Ebby Nelson-Addy has signed a new deal which will see him stay at the club until the Summer of 2019. The former Aston Villa youngster has been a key player for Adam Boyd's side since breaking into the first team fold a few months back.

Ebby Nelson-Addy looked to be on his way out of the club last season as he spent the end of the season on loan at Conference side Tranmere. Hartlepool also signed former Portsmouth centre midfielder Danny Hollands as it looked like Nelson-Addy would leave the club. However, Nelson-Addy has been on fantastic form and has dislodged Hollands out of the team and formed a great partnership in centre midfield alongside Pelly Ruddock and Brad Walker. Nelson Addy has also gone on to score three goals this season for Adam Boyd's side.

Hartlepool and Morecambe could not be separated in a dull encounter at Victoria Park in a match of minimal chances. Hartlepool have now failed to win in their last three matches in all competitions.

Hartlepool and Morecambe cancelled each other out throughout in a match which was dominated by some goof defending by both sides. Trevor Carson made some good saves for Hartlepool early on whilst Scott Fenwick had an effort cleared off the line midway through the second half. Hartlepool travel to struggling Grimsby in their next league match.

Amond finished last season as the Conference top goalscorer for Grimsby as he helped them win promotion to the Football League. League One side Preston North End are through to the Second Round of the FA Cup after they disposed of League Two side Hartlepool. Hartlepool had gone ahead through Scott Fenwick however goals from Martin Cranie, Caolan Lavery and Greg Cunningham won the match for the visitors.

Hartlepool went ahead early on in the match when Scott Fenwick scored a great poacher's effort from just inside the area. Preston were soon level when Martin Crainie headed in from a corner before Caolan Lavery put the League One side ahead after the break. Lavery slotted home after a good ball from Greg Cunningham before the left back got on the scoresheet himself with a strike from range. Hartlepool host Morecambe next in the league.
