https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/jY71ferVxL9pk2uc5t2GwHtvrKqelNZxj6d8F8AO.png

Hartlepool winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has handed in a transfer request at the League Two play off contenders. Mendez-Laing only joined the club in the Summer after his release from League One side Rochdale.

Mendez-Laing, 24, has announced his intention to leave the club despite only being at the club for five months. The former Wolverhampton youngster did not manage a single appearance for Rochdale last season and has made nine appearances this season for Hartlepool, scoring two goals. The transfer request has said to have been a shock to Hartlepool manager Adam Boyd however the request has been accepted by the Hartlepool hierarchy. Mendez-Laing is not expected to feature again for the club while his future is up in the air.

Former Crewe Alexandra defender Jon Guthrie scored his first goal for Hartlepool as his side were held in a close encounter against Bristol Rovers. Guthrie had put Hartlepool ahead however Rory Boulding equalised for the home side.

Hartlepool have been in good form of late and went ahead just after the break through Guthrie. Ashley Hemmings hit a free kick into the area which found Guthrie unmarked in the box and his header flew into the top corner. However, Hartlepool were pegged back through a fantastic solo goal from Boulding who ran from the half way line and fired past Carson. Hartlepool host League One side Preston North End next in the first round of the FA Cup.

Glad to see Nile Ranger will be departing the club in the next transfer window, he's a complete waste of a wage.

You've picked up some impressive wins recently, especially the home success against your rivals Carlisle and I'm sure Newport isn't an easy place to pick up points either. KIU pal.

Yeah I'm glad to see the back of him too. He's actually not a bad player at this level but I haven't been using a target man and Barrow offered £5k so decided to let him leave. Thanks for the comment again mate, hopefully we can keep up our good form and keep you reading.

Looking pretty good so far! You do like those double names: Hepburn-Murphy, Mendez-Laing and Nelson-Addy...

Add Matthew Barnes-Homer to that list too

Hepburn-Murphy Ruled Out For Seven Weeks

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/j27uEEPoxYhW7vthSpOIEjuipAfy09XURu1QT2Bw.png

Hartlepool's on-loan striker Rushian Hepburn-Murphy has been ruled out for any time up to seven weeks after spraining his ankle in the side's win against York City. Hepburn-Murphy has scored eight goals in ten matches for Hartlepool so far this season.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy will be disappointed to be ruled out, especially after such a successful start to his life at the club. Scott Fenwick, who was the side's top goalscorer last season and has scored three goals in the last two will be looking to take advantage of Hepburn-Murphy's injury. Kristian Dennis has scored four goals this season for Hartlepool so may also get a look in now after the injury to Hepburn-Murphy. Adam Boyd has announced that he will be looking to extend Hepburn-Murphy's loan contract when the January transfer window opens.

Scott Fenwick was top goalscorer for Hartlepool last season however was ruled out for the club's play off efforts through injury. The talented striker has seen his opportunities limited this season after being ruled out through injury and lack of match fitness but will be delighted with his goal off the bench. The striker accelerated away from his defender before fired low into the bottom corner with a great strike. Hartlepool host York in their next league match.

Hartlepool's on-loan striker Rushian Hepburn-Murphy has expressed his delight at his current form. The eighteen year old striker has scored eight goals in nine appearances for Adam Boyd's side since his loan move from Premier League side Aston Villa.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy's loan contract at the Hartlepool expires at the end of January however the youngster has not ruled out extending his stay at the club: "It's been a brilliant start at the club for me and we've been on some great form. I've always scored goals at youth level and to score in the Football League is really pleasing. My contract here is until the end of January and obviously it's up to Aston Villa but I'd definitely be open to stay here longer if they're happy with it."

Worley Ruled Out For Three Months

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/7pGbd8uNr0wDLAKTPxMn25bSKZZJPciUBgv8D66Z.png

Hartlepool defender Harry Worley has been ruled out for three months after tearing his knee ligaments in training. Worley has been ever present in Adam Boyd's side this season and has been stand-in Captain in recent weeks.

Harry Worley has been a key figure since Adam Boyd took over at the club and has formed a good partnership this season with Jon Guthrie. Manager Adam Boyd has stated that Scott Harrison, a player who was a regular last season may get a chance due to Worley's injury: "Yes, it's definitely a chance for Scott (Scott Harrison) to come back into the side. Last season he was a key man for us but has been out of the picture this season, I just hope he can make the step up now and get his place back."

Ranger To Leave Hartlepool When Transfer Window Re-Opens

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/P3bFnEHKpcGGhE18iltrIrN1iNb88GLQF5DJ2DZc.png

Hartlepool have announced that their infamous striker Nile Ranger will leave the club when the transfer window re-opens in January after only making four appearances for the club. Ranger joined the club from Blackpool in the Summer but will join Conference side Barrow when the transfer window re-opens.

Ranger, 25, failed to score and will still be available for Hartlepool until he joins Barrow. Ranger, 25, has had a number of disciplinary problems in his career however manager Adam Boyd has insisted that the decision to allow Ranger to leave is purely for footballing reasons. "We've brought in a lot of strikers over the Summer and unfortunately there is no longer a place for Nile in my side. Barrow have decided to sign him up and he will join them when January comes around. Until then, I expect Nile to perform to the best of his ability if I decide to pick him for the squad."

Oh dear, you signed the self-proclaimed "power" ranger. The guy is a class A twat and that's considering the ones we have in charge of our club.

However, he should get you some goals in League 2 on FM where he can't nearly get up to the same shit he does in real life. I do like your strike force, hope Barnes-Homer gets you plenty! Just can see a couple of them leaving before January such is the amount of forwards at your disposal!

KUTGW.

This season has got to be yours!

He's been pretty useless for me in the few matches he's played. I doubt he will be here too long to be honest with you... I've brought in way too many strikers to be honest, can see Barnes-Homer kicking off soon and wanting to leave. Thanks for the comment mate, more updates to come today.

Just read through this story and have to say you've done a great job. I'm not playing FM this year due to lack of time to really get into it so will be enjoying others stories a lot more this season.

Risky signing with Ranger but if he doesn't cause issues then you've got a good player on your hands, especially for League 2.

I may have missed it but did you not try and get Hyde back this season after his successful loan spell last season?

Glad you are reading mate and really nice to know that you are enjoying this. Ranger was a player I decided to take a punt on but he's not featured much this season, fully expect him to start complaining soon. I tried to get Hyde back but York wanted £100k for him and we don't have that sort of money. He's played ten matches for York so far this season but hasn't found the net yet.

Hartlepool Duo Unhappy With Lack Of Playing Time

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NFJNhfJ8qU6fKoDbL87vFsDbwgLVDgmfyClaDASY.png

Hartlepool players Jamie Devitt and Armand Gnanduillet have both expressed their disappointment at their lack of playing time this season, however both have stated that they are hoping to change Adam Boyd's mind with their performances in training. Devitt has only made three substitute appearances this season whereas Gnanduillet has only managed one start.

Jamie Devitt was a key player last season for Morecambe however has found himself on the fringes of Hartlepool's side this season. "I'm obviously unhappy with not playing enough but it's up to me to try and change the gaffer's mind" said the Irishman. Gnanduillet has managed one start this season and has made five appearances off the bench but it rumoured to have had a meeting with manager Adam Boyd regarding his lack of playing time.

Hartlepool's Kristian Dennis struck the winner deep into injury time to secure a great win against Tranmere Rovers. Rushian Hepburn-Murphy had put Hartlepool ahead with a debut strike before Dean Rittenberg equalised for the home side.

Kristian Dennis, who only managed four goals for Conference side Macclesfield last season has now scored three in two matches with his late strike. Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, who only joined the club last week was on the scoresheet after he slotted home after some good work from Brad Walker. Dean Rittenberg then headed in from a corner to equalise for the home side before Dennis headed in following a free kick from Jake Carroll. Hartlepool face AFC Wimbledon next in the league.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FTfj3J0BTysQFTrMyH7yVa9z0k7oB8q10Cm57iHh.png

Aston Villa striker Rushian Hepburn-Murphy has joined League Two side Hartlepool on loan for three months. Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, 18, has yet to make an appearance for Aston Villa's senior side but is held in high regard by the coaching staff at Villa Park.

Hepburn-Murphy now becomes the side eighth striker and manager Adam Boyd has not ruled out some strikers leaving the squad before the transfer window ends in a few days time. "Obviously we have quite a lot of strikers at the club now so a few may have to leave on loan but there is no movement on that yet." Last season's top goalscorer Scott Fenwick made his first appearance for the club since March in the weekend's win against Notts County and was very happy to return to action: "Last season getting injured was devastating and I'm so happy to be back in the first team picture."

Hartlepool's Kristian Dennis scored his first goals for the club as he came off the bench to secure the win against a strong Notts County side. Padriag Amond had put the home side ahead before Jake SInclair and Curtis Thompson scored for the away side. Kristian Dennis then came off the bench to bag a double with his first goals since his arrival from Stockport County.

Padriag Amond was top goalscorer in the Conference last season for Grimsby and got his first goal for his new club just after the half hour mark. Amond fired home after the returning Scott Fenwick played the striker through. Jake Sinclair then headed in an equaliser for the away side before Curtis Thompson flicked in to put the visitors ahead. Kristian Dennis replaced Scott Fenwick at half time and grabbed his first goal for the club when he fired home at the back post. Only one minute later, Kristian Dennis headed in to grab the win for the home side. Hartlepool travel to Tranmere next in the league.

Hartlepool have now lost their last three matches after Mansfield dominated in a convincing three nil win for the hosts. Adam Chapman and Craig Westcarr had put Mansfield ahead in the first ten minutes before Matty Blair scored a great individual effort to secure the win.

Adam Chapman put Mansfield ahead with a long range free kick before Chapman was the architect for Mansfield second goal when his cross was headed home by Craig Westcarr. Hartlepool rarely threatened and were second best throughout the match. Matty Blair secured the win for the home side when he took on three players and calmly fired the ball past Trevor Carson. Hartlepool host Notts County in their next league match as they will try to stop their bad form.

Hartlepool Switch For Striker Holman

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/YyRX5G2MbY7VLbC6I1nl6rHXvHTkegZ47tphU8yT.png

Hartlepool have completed the signing of striker Dan Holman after his release from League One side Colchester. Holman, 26, scored thirteen goals last season whilst on loan for Conference side Woking.

Holman becomes Hartlepool's seventh striker on the books alongside Matthew Barnes-Homer, Padriag Amond, Kristian Dennis, Scott Fenwick, Nile Ranger and Armand Gnanduillet. "I'm happy to join a talented bunch of lads and it will be a challenge to get into the side. We have a lot of strikers here but I'm up for the challenge and believe I can be a success here." Holman is expected to make his debut in Hartlepool next match against Mansfield.
