These Yaya Toure shenanigans makes no fucking sense.

I'd take him at Newcastle tbh.

Better look at the liverpool away kit

I'm not a fan of the colours but I do like the look of that as a template. Much better than the weird psychedelic vomit on Liverpool's change kit from last season.

LOAN HIM IN PARDEW LOAN HIM IN.

loved milner when he was here.

I think he's the kind of winger Pardew wants - defensively minded but can be decent in attack. Personally I felt he was better at Newcastle than he is at Citeh.

Darren Bent and Saido Berahino have been linked with a transfer to Newcastle.

Bent would be painful. Berahino might have promise, just maybe not £7million worth of it. Yet. Though such is the market force I guess.

He voted for USA I think. Still though, he's the man in charge. It shouldn't have been allowed to happen.

People saying his comments could be to do with the election next year, saying 'I didn't vote for Qatar but Platini did.'
Platini was, from the sounds of things, the main driving force, which is as perfect an advertisement for him not to be elected FIFA President at the next election. Or indeed, ever.

I feel for you, but i pay EE £55 a month for my contract (Galaxy Note 3, unlimted everything) and then i have EE home Fibre Broadband which i cannot fault at all, and i pay them £32 for that.

I feel sick

£82 a month, fucking hell. For that kinda money you should be able to get Kevin Bacon to make a personal appearance at your birthday party.

Anyway, well done to Gunners and all that, even if it would've been hilarious if Hull had won. Nevermind.

That's the logo of the old Wembley, right?

Better than the current one, at least.
http://thefonecast.com/Portals/1/EasyGalleryImages/1/505/Wembley_EE.jpg

£29-a-month contract and my cash goes to sponsoring Wembley and the continuing collapse of Kevin Bacon's film career instead a of a half-decent signal.

In terms of predictions, Hull winning would be a very big surprise and an on display from Ramsey, Ozil, Giroud et all should mean a comfortable win. But then again, the notion of Wigan beating Man City in this tournament last year was equally dismissed before kick-off, so who knows.

Somewhat buried amid the "no cups" priority is a line "the club is considering legal action for untrue stories that the club had contacted other people to be first team manager".

When exactly does this media baiting end?

Blatter has said on Swiss TV that the Qatar World Cup was a mistake.

With 8 years to go there is still time to reverse that decision, and more so than Brazil and their still half-built stadiums

Meanwhile, the club are considering sueing Richard Keys and BEIN Sports for Tweeting a rumour that Ben Arfa punched Pardew in the face during a post-match bust up, hence why he was not being picked.

From what I gather the WBA game wasn't helped by dodgy refereeing.

Its a disappointing stat, however. It is possible to accidentally wind up in a Cup Final - I'm not sure Hull, Sheffield United and Wigan expected to be in the semi-finals this season, for example, but it is still disappointing to see.

The domestic caveat is because its the only one we've entered every season under Ashley, which makes the EL campaign more perplexing. It's also more disappointing they don't seem interested in a reprise of that, and are using it to hide the fact that their deliberate underinvestment left us with a squad too thin to compete in the first half of the campaign.

Much as the Twitter thing is dumb, that statistic to justify not even attempting Cup runs is hilariously stupid. I accept the notion the teamsheet that started against Cardiff in the Cup this year should've won but no progression beyond the 4th Round of any domestic cup since Ashley's appointment is ridiculous.

I only know of two - one shortly after he joined when he moaned "it wasn't what it was like in the brochure" and one at the end of the season we blew the 12 point lead.

Scholes for Best English, maybe. Always found Gerrard and Lampard annoying, but that's more a personal thing than a question of their talents.

Technically, New Zealand is not Asia, and for most, "lucrative Asia tour" is somewhere like Japan, China, Thailand, whatever. I think that was the point of going places like Hong Kong and Malaysia under Bobby Robson. But I doubt many Newcastle fans are actually going to stump up the cash to go on the 24 hour plane out there - it's not exactly cheap to fly to there, nevermind the hotels, food, travel and all that other shit. Be good for one of those "once in a lifetime" things to look around the islands, but stupidly pricey.

The fans forum minutes confirmed Pardew will stay on.

Much as I had hoped not, at least it's been confirmed early. But we really have to press on now or we will be up shit creek.

Given Grenier is going to Brazil, I daresay if he impresses, we'll be outbid by teams with a coherent transfer policy. He would be good but Ashley doesn't do £10million+ on players, which is why Remy is not going to be a permanent. Well that and (according to Tyneside papers) his attitude off the field has been poor.

We need a lot, no matter what nationality. Its just actually a case of whether or not the incompetent rabble that run the joint actually buy anyone.

You're not alone there. Would love to see media darling Redknapp fail (although coming 4th in itself was a failure to be honest).

Media seems to be speculating he wants to replace Allardyce at West Ham, so alas, he maybe coming back up anyway - and just in time to dodge the seemingly inevitable QPR financial implosion that failing to win promotion and spending stupid money would cause. Classic 'Arry.

Ince would be a free and might work, even if I'm a bit reserved after his misadventure with Palace. He must really regret that mystery tour he did in the week leading up to January deadline day. Delph would be good and would certainly work as an upgrade on Anita, while Shelvey is alright but I think Swansea will want too much for them. I like the idea of signing one or both of Jordan Rhodes and Ross McCormack, but maybe there's cheaper out there. Zaha was shite at Cardiff so not him.

Aye.

The exodus is reportedly beginning already - BBC are reporting Dan Gosling is set to conclude a free transfer to Bournemouth. Although given he barely played anyway, he probably won't be missed that much.

I've seen a Tweet Tom Ince should be attempted but given Palace barely played him, maybe not.

Tbf Norwich could probably have stayed up if they'd kept Holt and left Van Wolfswinkel in Portugal. Holt & Hooper may well have been the ultimate battering ram partnership.

The Telegraph was banned as a whole, but Edwards was the one who did the article. I think he's been let back in.

I do think we will spend money on permanent signings because if we fail to spend this time, it'll be a problem. But maybe not £60million worth.

EDIT: Edwards has Tweeted saying NUFC themselves have told him to say the budget is not £60million and is rather an "undisclosed" figure. So, nothing then.

Twittersphere seems to be going to town on a rumour Pardew's getting a £60M transfer budget.

Seeing as we didn't even spend 60 million pennies on permanent signings this season, I doubt it.

When I said "we shall soon be back up and running" I don't think I meant four months later, although losing the disc and getting caught up in dissertations... not so helpful. With any luck we will be back next week as I do wanna keep going for a bit with this one.

Glen Johnson and Chris Smalling have the air of being liabilities. I accept Kyle Walker would've been no better had he actually been fit (which he isn't) but really, those two have the air of weak links.

I don't think Oxlade-Chamberlain or Wilshere have been consistently fit enough recently to go, but can't really think of anyone else to have gone instead. Certainly not Cleverley, who would struggle to get into a hypothetical England D team with his form this season.

Pepe Mel has left WBA "by mutual consent".

Is it too late for them to ask Steve Clarke if he fancies a reunion? Sacking him was a dreadful idea at the time and looks even worse now.
