They do in Scotland, for the same competition. Straight red is a ban in all competitions.

I had assumed this was the same everywhere. Is that not the case?

No. As far as I know only a straight red results in a suspension in Sweden.

Destro's second yellow was well harsh. He didn't even take his shirt off, ref should have just used a bit of common sense, he's out of the derby now. He'd have only been a sub, but a good sub to have at that.

They give out suspensions for second yellows in Italy?

Yeah I got Doria too, however he never ever wants to be tutored and kicks off whenever you speak about it. Think he thinks he's bigtime

My game freezes whenever I try to enter the player chat, so I suppose I don't have to worry about that.

Franck, any more recommendations mate?

I'll probably make a detailed list in a few days when I get some time for the game again, but off the top of my head the first ones I can remember are Dória from Botafogo, Adryan from Flamengo, Felipe Anderson from Santos and Ademílson from Sao Paulo. The first two are absolute bargains with buy-outs at less than 1M, the latter two cost about 5M which certainly isn't cheap but still incredible value.

Just one of many potentially great Brazilians with a low buy-out clause in this version of the game.

A lot of your attitude towards life that comes across in the book is worryingly similar to mine.

You find similarities between yourself and the character because many of the things he feels, says and does are things that many people experience. Almost every single person on this planet will have felt like they were an embarrassment or burden to their parents at some point, for instance.

Can you be a Vatican citizen anyway?

Yes. People who work for the Catholic church in certain capacities, like the pope, the cardinals and the Swiss guard, are Vatican citizens. They are only citizens for as long as they work for the Vatican though.

Pretty sure you need Monegasque parents to be Monegasque. Some 75%-80% of the population of Monaco are foreigners.

You can also naturalise as a citizen of Monaco, though they don't allow dual-citizenship, at least not for naturalised citizens.

In fact the only Monaco-born and raised player to have made it through the clubs youth system in ages, Torben Joneleit, is a German citizen. The only Monegasque player to have played for the club that I know of is Armand Forcherio, who played for them in the 60's and had a brief stint as manager in the 70's.

That's a common misconception. They're not members of FIFA because they're a Danish dependency. They're in the process of becoming more autonomous.

The Faroe Islands are also a Danish dependency yet they've been FIFA members for more than 20 years now.

It really is the lack of FIFA-standard pitches that have kept them out. No acceptable playing-field means no official FIFA-matches which in turn makes FIFA membership pointless.

Really? A national league in Monaco? It's so small.

I'd be very surprised if there were more than two football pitches within the principality.

Anyway, a Monegasque national team would make San Marino, Andorra and the Faroe Islands look like Spain or Brazil. They'd be the worst European national team by a ludicrous margin.

Greenland are not FIFA members because they don't have any natural grass pitches, they had an artificial pitch installed recently but before that all they had was gravel pitches.

Mine too, are they actually required to call it that every time they mention it?

The guys on the international broadcast are employed by the Premier League itself, so I wouldn't be surprised if they have orders from above to say it.

Anyway the commentator on my stream is a cunt, I think he's said BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE about two dozen times now. I think it's the international broadcast.

Heard it on the radio yesterday and now it's stuck in my head. The 90s >*

Actually when I think about it, yesterday was probably the first time I've heard that song since the fucking 90s!

I don't hate politicians, even terrorism-apologist loud-mouths like Galloway. I just laugh at how ludicrously twisted his view of the world is.

How anyone can take someone who said that the disappearance of the Soviet Union was "the greatest catastrophe" of his life seriously is beyond me.

Aye, being a great orator does not make up for the fact that his political opinions are absolutely horrendous.

(You could also incorporate The Wire in some way, if you hadn't already thought of that)

I'd have loved to, but going through the entirety of it again just to write a little about it for a fairly minor school project would be overkill.
