Anyone bought the new Forza? I know there were quite a few of us who got the last one. I purchased it earlier this week. Think it fantastic, graphics are superb!

Spent hours just jumping around in the desert and powersliding around the airport with a modified Volvo 850. Love how the game drives, there's much more fun to have outside of the race events just messing around than there was in the previous versions.

Brexit is simulated in FM17.

Takes the old random event with countries joining the EU about a dozen steps further.

So with the BETA due to be out next week - what's everyone's first career going to be?

Lazio. Decent squad with some interesting pieces to build from.

United put up an absolute masterclass in defending for the first 55-60 minutes.

Personally the thing I'm most curious about is the match engine improvements. If defensive decision making genuinely is improved that will be huge, especially for those of us who like to play with defensive tactics.

Main thing that interested me last night was that the game finally supports 64bit PC's meaning it may well run a little quicker.

Or a lot quicker, for those of us sitting on 16 or 32 GB of RAM.

Guidolin sacked by Swansea. The new yankee owners bring in fellow yank Bob Bradley as his replacement.

I am now absolutely convinced that they are going down.

It's astonishing that Felipe Melo somehow plays top level football. The man is unbelievably awful.

Not that the rest of Inter have played any better, most superettan sides could beat the disorganised mess that is on the pitch in Prague tonight.

So, Pulis or Pardew? What do you think?

Either way, this is an area where English law is awful. Hope the Telegraph hand the story over to a Scottish paper or some other news media not bound by English law.

Was incredibly bored this weekend, so I watched "new" Top Gear. Chris Evans is awful, and while Matt LeBlanc is very charming I can't help but feel like he's playing a role, almost everything he says feels scripted. On the other hand Rory Reid and Chris Harris are very good, and Eddie Jordan works great as a comedic foil in the challenges.

The Grand Tour will probably blow it out of the water, but if a dull show like Fifth Gear can survive for almost 15 years then I'm sure there's a place for Top Gear, especially now that Evans is gone.

Why is everyone in the thread so desperate to see Sunderland go down?

Anyway, I feel pretty confident they'll stay up. They've only lost two winnable matches so far, have Defoe up front who's still good for 10-15 goals and squads like those of Burnley and Hull have absolutely no chance of avoiding relegation, Boro haven't been very impressive in spite of having spent a tonne of money, Stoke have completely imploded, West Ham is a fucking mess and Palace are managed by Alan fucking Pardew.

Sunderland lack creativity in central midfield, aside from that their optimal first eleven looks pretty good to me.

tbf if Labour gets on with it, and unites behind Corbyn, I don't think he'll seem as unelectable in a couple of years, May seems completely out of her depth.

Corbyn's insane opinions on foreign policy will still be just as cancerous in a few years as they are today. A man who thinks NATO is responsible for the war in Ukraine and wants the UK to leave the organisation, wants to give Argentina joint-control of the Falklands, wants to scrap Trident, opposes bombing ISIS and has cosy relations with Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah is a man who scares away the centrist vote all by himself. In a political climate where security is as important to voters as it is now, the Tories can easily undermine any well-received Labour proposal by bringing up foreign policy.

Arsenal fans booing Fabregas, didn't he want to go back there? Thought it was Wenger who didn't want to stump up?

Would you defend Michael Owen with the same reasoning?

Nice one Jez! 61% of the vote, but he's apparently 'unelectable'.

He is unelectable. Elections are won by winning over undecided voters and centrists, not by pleasing the party membership.
