Fixtures:
League Table:
Very pleased by our performance. To be in the top half is incredible and the win against Barcelona is looking like a feat for the ages given how they are destroying all opposition this season. Only need four wins in the second half to be sure of staying up and the boards ridiculous expectation of a midtable finish is looking achievable.

As for LAFC, they aren't in the game.

A big dip in form, but nevertheless:
We had some pretty terrific individual performances over the season as well:
Looking forward to seeing how Willian José and Leandro Cabrera perform at a higher level.

A top-class, versatile central midfielder. Will be very important for us as the central midfielders I currently have aren't close to La Liga-quality.

Table:
Haven't lost since November and there's only 12 games to go. I'm putting the champagne on ice.

Two loans to provide depth at the back.
And another player signed after an agent recommendation:
Also got rid of a few players in an attempt to shrink the wage bill:

Borja Bastón and Willian José have hit something of a dry spell, leading to much less impressive performances than we saw in the first 10.
League table:
Still pretty safe at the top.

Has shadow striker written all over him. Will play with the B-team to start with, but I think he could make the full team by season's end.

And the league table:
My formation:
4-4-fucking-2. Borja Bastón and Willian José is the kind of strike partnership nightmares are made of.

Bellerín will be starting at right-back, Tounkara will be a backup for Borja.

A pretty decent group of players for the Segunda, finishing in a playoff position should be pretty realistic, but the automatic promotion places appear out of our reach.
Our key men:
Our most important player, lacks explosive quickness but aside from that he possesses everything you want in a striker at this level. On an expiring contract with Atletico, it's hard to resist fantasising about making his loan transfer permanent at season's end.
Lacking in mobility but a great passer, hopefully he can take something of a Fabio Liverani role in my squad.
Quick and he's got a good cross, will be vital for us as I expect most of our attacks to come from the wing.
The only key player who's actually contracted to the club, a former youth international for Brazil with a hammer from distance, will play the deep-lying role next to Borja.
And finally, the gem of our club:
A youth product with the potential to become a Champions League-level defender. A fairly typical Spanish centre back lacking in the physical side of the game but good with the ball at his feet. Really impressive mental attributes for a 17-year-old as well.

Real Zaragoza
With roughly 700.000 inhabitants, Zaragoza is the largest city in the Aragon region of North-Eastern Spain. The city has existed since Roman times, but the football club, supposedly the 7th most supported in Spain, was founded in 1932.
They have never won the league but they won what is now the Europa League in 1964 and have a Cup Winners' Cup and a half dozen Copa del Rey's to their name. Prominent former players include Gustavo Poyet, Nayim, Ander Herrera and the Milito brothers.
The facilities aren't great by any means, but they'll do.
Yes, you're reading that right, €77M in debt, almost four times the value of the club.
The club has been a relatively stable mid-table club for the past 20 years, a 4th and a 6th place and the three relegations being the exceptions. The relegation in 2008, the season following the 6th place finish must have been particularly harsh and I'd imagine much of the debt stems from that year, not immediately bouncing back from the most recent relegation almost certainly worsened the situation.
A more detailed look at the debt. Having most of it broken down by seasons makes it look manageable, but we will be in deep shit if we don't achieve promotion this season.
