There's really only one draft to pay attention to, and that's the SuperDraft between seasons where the top North American newgens get selected. The other drafts are one for the crappy newgens who didn't go in the SuperDraft and then one draft with all the players that got cut before the season, both can be skipped without missing out on anything.

Then with NYC or Orlando you'd have the one-off expansion draft, but that one's just pure fun. Like picking your football team on a school playground.

Don't let that discourage you, I'm hardly an expert and I'm doing pretty well. The only major difference to how the game is played is the salary cap, but if you're used to managing on a tight budget the adjustment isn't really that difficult.

My first player sale! Shilla may be a model citizen, but he wasn't going to get into my first team and wouldn't have justified his league maximum cap-hit. Pretty pleased to get $700k for him. Gives me some nice allocation money to play with.

In other news the scouting for the SuperDraft is not going too well, unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's any real MLS-ready, slam dunk type prospects in this draft, just a few promising long-term projects.

I fucking love expansion drafts. It's been over an hour and I'm still absolutely pumped.

Mostly based by decisions on cap hits and contract lengths, Marco Pappa and Soony Saad are tremendous finds from that perspective. Love that I managed to get Johnson as well, him, Lampard and Eguren are going to form the best central midfield in the entire MLS.

Only disappointment with the expansion draft was that Orlando took the guy I wanted to draft with the 1st overall pick in Matt Hedges, they also took Gale Agbossoumonde who I was interested in drafting, otherwise they didn't take anyone that was on my shortlist.

Anyway, exciting times ahead still, with me holding the 1st overall pick in the SuperDraft!
