Just downloaded all packs as I'm revamping my graphics and managed to more than double the amount of faces I have in the game now. Big thanks for all the work you guys do. I've done a few of my own cut-outs free-hand and it's a total nightmare getting around hair lol. I'm using PS-CS3.

Lovely work mate. It's a shame coefficients don't change, but something I'm wondering is if reputation and league ranking change? If you play in a small European league it's great when your price money increases when the league claims up the ranking.


Thanks. Yeah I'm hoping SI can make coefficients and league ranking changes compatible with the Edited Rules option in the 2019 editor. I've already suggested it but whether or not they take it on board is another story. The only thing that will update as of now are nation rankings, but they don't add/remove qualification places (that's down to league rankings).

Hey man good work. I want to ask you something because i will create my CL and EL with FM Editor. The Nations and teams get points from UEFA or not??? I ask you because we arent see the Coefficients of Nations and teams in game if we recreate the competitions.

Coefficient points don't change unfortunately, as they aren't compatible with anything built under Edited Rules. Hopefully they'll address this going forward.

oh yeah forgot about that

thats one of the reasons I stopped editing for months

after hours doing a project like this bugs came along to spoil the game

SI really need to treat the editors with a bit more respect a one man band over at FMRTE can churn out a better IGE(it has over 40 extra features theirs dosent ) same with pre game they have either no staff working on it or the wrong one/s


I hear that. It can be demoralizing to say the least when you put so much work into a project, only to hit a dead end with no way around it.

did you resolve the issue with teams dropping into Europa from group stages of UCL, as this wasnt working for me last year

Thanks bud, much appreciated. Yeah I managed to get teams dropping out of the Champions League group stage into the UEFA Cup/Europa League knockout stages. I also managed to get Champions League losers in 3rd qualifying round to drop into UEFA Cup/Europa League 3rd qualifying round as well so it's all running smoothly as far as I know.

The only issues that still remain are the following:

- I can't get Champions League and Europa League winners to qualify for next season's Champions League, which is due to a bug in the editor with the seeding. Once that's fixed by SI I'll get to work on adding more options
- Coefficients still don't work with Edited Rules

Coefficients still aren't functioning with the Edited Rules option unfortunately, though I wish they'd hurry up and fix it lol. If you want equal presence for every nation, you'd have to go into the Teams section under Europe and reconfigure the seeding from scratch, and make sure the total amount of teams called for each round matches what I've done.

So for example the Champions League group stage calls 16 teams. Instead of calling 2 teams from nations 1-4, you'd have to call 1 team from nations 1-16, and so on for every other stage until you mathematically get it to 54. It'd be complicated but definitely possible.

Turns out an unedited file without mods crashes too

It's the version with the 2 group stage EURO-league and Cup Winners Cup

Crashes every time after Intertoto first round!

Have you heard of this problem before?

I feared as much, have you got any idea how to make this compatible with my own file? (A way of removing Belgium and Lux as countries from the cup?)

I hadnt downloaded the names fix at the time of posting no, but just did.


I think the only way to do it would be to call the teams from whatever nation you've set the merged competition to (if there is one?).

Bro the game crashes after I make it past the Intertoto first round...

Im using my own merged BeNeLiga mod (Combined league of Netherlands/Belgium/Luxembourg), and changed the name of the competition to "UEFA Intertoto cup" in the editor cause it was called "EURO vase"

Any idea why?

I'd imagine that because you have combined 3 nations into 1 that the UEFA competitions can't call teams from each nation individually. As for the Intertoto being called the Euro Vase, have you downloaded the Real Names fix?

Lovely database mate! Some quick questions: Do teams from Kosovo participate in the competitions, and what about prize money and TV money?


Thanks a lot. Teams from Kosovo aren't active in the file right now but they will be included in the next update for all competitions. The prize money is mostly along the guidelines of what the real competitions have, give or take a little bit for each round (some may appear more generous though in the latter stages). The Cup Winners' Cup from what I remember is a little more generous though as I wanted to give more incentive for players to try and advance in the competition.

I'm also contemplating giving the Cup Winners' Cup winner a Champions League spot along with Europa and Champions League winners but not fully set on it yet, as I don't want a potential scenario of one nation getting six teams.

Is there any way that I can get Intertoto with the winners qualifying for Europa League and Winners Cup, not tampering Europa League & Champions League rules and co-efficient table displaying?


You'd have to play around with the fates in the Intertoto Cup final, and you'd then have to reconfigure the Cup Winners' Cup seeding so that only 31 teams are called from winning their own domestic cup, and leave one space for Intertoto winner.

I wasn't able to get the co-efficients working unfortunately unless I changed the competitions to Override Rules In Code. This caused a ton of problems and errors though. Hopefully for FM18 they add the co-efficients for Edited Rules.

Hi guys. I've just finished running new test saves with each of the 6 files and the competitions are all showing up for me, with the correct names intact. This was me running the files one at a time with no name fixes or additional editor files, so they should be working.

To those of you having problems, are you running any additional editor files alongside mine? If so, there may be some kind of clash occurring in the background that's impacting the Intertoto Cup. That's the only thing left I can think of right now. I would also suggest opening the file up in your editor and checking the name of the competitions in there such as the Intertoto Cup, just to be sure that everything is laid out properly on your side.

Note: If in the editor the competition is named Intertoto Cup, try loading your database on its own with no editor file loaded. It may be called EURO Vase in there by default.

@Qooqle1995 I've also looked into fixing the coefficients and league rankings updating each year, but the only way I could get it to work was by changing the competitions from "Edited Rules" to "Override Rules In Code". This however caused problems with the seeding of teams in each competition (Champions League sides being called into Europa League), as well as the competition format reverting to default. Ultimately I've had to keep it as it was for now until I can find a way to try and line everything up under the override rules conditions (I might have to rebuild it all from scratch but I'm hoping that won't be needed). It may be a case of having to wait until FM18 and hoping they fix the issue of the rankings not working under edited rules. Sorry about that.

All 6 files on their own should be activating the Intertoto Cup. I'm currently running a save using the one group stage Europa League and it's showing up in my game, and the other 5 activated it when I was running tests. As for the name showing up as the EURO Vase, I can only guess that's down to you possibly not having the competition name fix installed.

I'm away this weekend so won't be able to access the editor until Sunday night, but I'll look into this for you and try to get it sorted.

So I've taken a look in my own save with this file and it turns out that you're right. The club coefficients table is not displaying any teams, and it doesn't look like the league reputations are updating each year either. I'll try and get these sorted and reuploaded as soon as possible. Additionally I've noticed that the first round of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup is still having a few fixture clashes, so I'll get that fixed as well by moving it to September instead of August.

As for the competitions breaking, it'll be because the fixture dates are clashing with other save files you're trying to use. Unfortunately there's not much I can do with that as I'd have to configure my file to work around the others. If you're wanting to use other competition files at the same time as one of my six files, you'll have to do a test run in your game save to make sure that they can run together. The problem is that with there being up to 5 European competitions (if you decide to run with the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup), you're not left with much more room when you factor in the international breaks, domestic fixtures and the FIFA Club World Cup.

I made a 2 group phase Champions League/Europa League, which I've been carrying over for a few years now and for the most part I've had no problems since I got it fully working. However I'm having way more problems with this year's editor than I expected, even though I copy and pasted this file over from 2016 which worked perfectly fine:

- Leicester, even though they should appear at the group stage, are appearing in both the 3rd qualifying round and the group stage, regardless of whether they win or lose, while Tottenham didn't even appear in the 3rd qualifying round at all
- Man Utd are appearing in both the Champions League and Europa League competitions, though the seeding is untouched from 2016
- Liverpool and Chelsea are appearing in the Champions League
- Having squad selection issues and can't add squad registration
- Having trouble getting a 3rd placed team in the Champions League to drop into the 2nd group phase of the Europa League

Can anybody at all help me with this?

Can anyone help me with getting additional ones to show up?

The Etihad stadium wasn't in the superpack or update folders, even though it had a pic showing up for it in the game. When I tried adding City's ID to the config with an updated pic it's still displaying the old one. I also tried adding a stadium for one that didn't have any background at all and that wouldn't show up either.

Might be a daft question, but how did you do this? I've used the editor before but never been able to change rules of a competition etc. Looks cool anyway, downloaded.

Definitely not a daft question. I had to edit the existing format of the competition using the advanced rules. It took me an absolute age just to get something up and running at all with the basic editor because it only lets you do certain things. From there it's just been a case of trial and error within the editor over the last 3-4 games in order to get the format the way I wanted it. Stuff like getting the right amount of teams in there and entering at specific stages, as well as getting games to play on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights took me a long time to learn how to do. I've simmed this up until 2040 and it ran great.

I'm still working on trying to figure out how to get 3rd placed teams in Champions League group phase 1 to drop into the Europa League group phase 2 however.

Hi.

I just got the cities megapack and applied it to the AndrOFlut skin. However in addition to the image showing up in the little cities box, it's also draping the entire background of the screen as shown below:

Is there any way I can fix this via the skin panels so the city image just shows up in the box and doesn't cover the entire background? I'm using custom backgrounds for each league and didn't want to have to filter them out with the transparency editor. Any help would be much appreciated.

Wow, these are great. Any chance I could get some Newcastle kits? I'm a few seasons in now and bored of using the same old bland stuff I've been using for years now. Kinda had something in mind:

Yes take out the client object browser panel and replace it with one from my previous skins


Just tried this to keep the sidebar fixed in place and whilst it worked, the player attributes have disappeared. Also, is there a way I can keep the sidebar dark (like it was in V3) instead of it changing every time I click on something?

Absolutely loving the skin by the way. Brilliant work.

I'm loving this skin, but I'm having a similar problem to a couple of people with lines available for match events (goal scorers, bookings etc). However I encountered the problem in the match fixtures/results page, with the fixtures/results only allowing room for 2 lines of events, and in some cases only 1.
