Stuff Bardejov. At least now you've got some money to spend. Good luck!

Annoyingly I've been labelled as shite with money. And I've had to promise not to destroy potential clubs in the interview.

And after a couple of months of being laughed off for second tier jobs, I'm back in business at Futura Humenne, a newly promoted Slovak second tier side.

I have a nice wage budget with a few k to spend, but a very small squad with only one coach. First appointments saw an assistant, a physio and two scouts sign. I'm really enjoying the pre-season so far, actually being able to manage the club, rather than jetting in half way through and unable to change anything.

Relegation stage; The Slovak relegation stage splits into 2 mini leagues of 6 for no real reason, and the promotion stage remains 1 league of 12.

Everything is going great, tactics getting across, hard to beat, able to win games etc. But the financial situation was bad, the club was already massively over budget and the club wanted to cut ever more. Current actual 7kpw down to a proposed 4kpw. I basically said no to new contract talks unless there was more money made available.

I then started applying for jobs, and I was sacked, with a month left on my contract. Annoyingly in the board meeting, there was option to refuse to apologise (as I did nothing wrong) and instead the options were all different levels of grovelling apology.

Ah well.

(I have no real interest in Romania and Bulgaria as I see them as different football cultures, to Central Europe and its historical importance)

It's pretty inevitable in fairness when 80% of countries don't really see corruption as a problem.

And the alternative of having football governed exclusively by England/France/Germany/USA etc. isn't too appealing either.

The Slovak second tier is split into two conferences, East and West of 12 teams each, and 22 games will be played each. They are the split into relegation and promotion groups.

Absolutely useless until the January break, with my only win coming over an absolute jobber team. A pointless January break due to being unable to bring anyone in due to finances.

After the break a quite good run of games to end the regular season.

Finishing lower than were we started, Board seem happy enough at least.

My career starts in Slovakia.

Since the Gentle Revolution, the Slovak Super Liga has been running for 21 seasons with Slovan Bratislava (8 wins) and MSK Zilina (6 wins) dominating. Kosice have 2 wins and Ruzomberok 1 win. Where as former big dogs Inter Bratislava and Artmedia Bratislava have fallen down the Leagues, into financial disarray and into irrelevance.

I however start in the second tier (East) at Partizan Bardejov. A team in financial distress and freefall but in the surprisingly cushy position of 8th out of 12th in the Eastern Conference.

NOTE - I will be trying to manage in a realistic way, in terms of choosing when to move between clubs. And also considering the personal wages offered to me in the decision making.

Started unemployed with Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia loaded up. No coaching badges or past playing career.

No strict career path, but would like to try and manage in all nations and try and win the domestic competitions.

Disappointed by the lack of Catts, AJ, Rodders and Wicks though.

And how come Barkley isn't in your list with Walcott and Carrick.

Speaking of Leicester I think their start to the season is probably the best example of a 'honeymoon' period in recent years. They need to stop the rot quickly or they'll be nailed on for relegation. Although not as nailed on as the still winless Burnley Watch out Derby, your record is under threat!

Can you really hate Burnley?

They have a midtable Championship team.

Another superb 3pts for #NUFC. Our campaign has inspired change - putting Pardew under pressure for the first time has led to new ideas 1/2

Sack Pardew @SackPardew · 56m 56 minutes ago
new players and, ultimately, new confidence. Long may it continue 2/2

Fucking hell. @SackPardew taking credit for the wins. Absolute shitehawks. Fair to say it hasn't gone down well. Think they're desperate for the attention, as people are fucking sick of them.

Anyway on Wednesday they were still demanding an apology for when Liverpool beat us 6-0 at SJP. Pardew's record against Liverpool at SJP is now 3W, 1D and 1L.

Poor game. No quality from either side going forward. Might have been different if Sissoko had been sent off, but clutching at straws when saying we needed to be a man up to beat a team like Newcastle.

What did Sissoko do?

Besides being good at taking penalties, what does Balotelli actually provide to a side?

Tbh I think his character just covers up for him once being a 'wonder kid' who has just turned into a very average player.

Thought he played alright, but was very isolated today. Henderson did nowt in the final third, Gerrard was shut down well and Sterling was poor and suffering from poor service. Coutinho played well, but I don't think he and Balotelli have much 'chemistry'

Did people honestly think that was a bad match?

Southampton away in that season is the worst I've seen in recent years. Tonight wasn't so bad, could've won with a tiny bit more luck in fairness. But can't think of a player who played well, Nasri maybe but that's just being generous since it was his 1st game back.

Mangala is muck on the ball

If Caballero makes a fairly basic save early on. And Jovetic taps in at the far post. The narrative could have easily been routine City win against awful Newcastle side.

But yeah fuck it, finally beat Man City. And Obertan outshining Silva. And Dummett doing a commando role to escape Mangala.

Hull are bigger than Inter Milan imo. But seriously I don't think signing for Inter means that much anymore.

It's a clever ploy by Hull to make him look shit so they don't have to pay much compensation. Tactical Bruce.

“The big difference between me and Alan of course is the size of the respective clubs we manage.

“Newcastle is a huge one-team town with so much passion – as much as any club in the country and abroad for that matter. The fans are wrapped up in their team, and while that can be a huge asset if channelled correctly, I think they have been unfair on both Alan and Ashley.

“The club gets around 50,000 at SJP every game and I guess 49,000 will probably disagree with me over Ashley.

“But here’s a chairman who cares a lot about his club. He goes every week, unlike some. I saw him in the directors’ box at Stoke a few weeks ago looking glum after the 1-0 defeat.”

Do you think Harry wants the Newcastle job?

Danny Murphy just flipped everything he said after HT. Seriously he said 'bottom 3' a 10 times in the first half. Then when the main commentator said Newcastle are only a point behind Spurs, Murphy said the table doesn't take shape until December.

Praised his former manager Alan Pardew for his tactical nous. Then spent most of the game having a go at Lamela. And suggesting he's only in the team because he's an Argie, and Spurs are crying out for his former team mate Aaron Lennon (who did nowt).

Newcastle put on Haidara for Perez late on and went to LW. When Murphy was told he was a LB, he said 'to help deal with Lennon'.

Thought we well deserved a point, but our luck turned here. And Cabella was actually good/

Commentators really are stealing a living.

"Newcastle need more OOMPH."

They don't offer any sort of analysis or enlightenment into the game. All they do is regurgitate the same cliched opinions from week to week.
