Falcao's had a week of pre-season to his name, anyone who expected him to be sharp or 100% fit had some wishful thinking.

Dare say had Costa been fit, Falcao would not have played at all.

Keeping a hold of De Gea for another year is more important than £25-£30 million. With him in goal we're probably more than likely going to qualify for the Champions League again and as Flash said if we know by January or February he's leaving we can make sure we've someone else coming in on day one of preseason.

And still no answer to my ankle pain! MRI results showed only an old ligament injury but nothing of recent, the DR has said they won't open it up as it looks a healthy ankle apart from the pain, little annoying. However the next step is apparently steroid injections straight into the ankle joint which will leave be off work for 2 days at a time to see if its the pain nerves inside!

Cortisone injections?

Utd just seem much more organised.

They know exactly what positions they need and they've just went out and filled them without messing about.

Now they have the chance to sit back and see who becomes available, knowing they have the important ones done.

Very much back to the Fergie days.

Yeah pretty much spot on.

Maybe need a striker as backup to Rooney and Wilson, but we're pretty much sorted and crucially before preseason has begun.

Certainly think we need a striker.

Rooney will get 15-20 in the Premier League if he plays up top and James Wilson could get a good few, but an injury to either and we're fucked. I'm also afraid Van Gaal sees Fellaini as a backup striker.

I just can't see how Mendes can actually hurt McGregor with the reach advantage. McGregor moves a lot and doesn't really stay still, think he'll pick Mendes off and finish him in the second round.

Can't wait for the main event obviously, think McGregor will knock out Mendes in the second.
