A fantastic start to the league season and a well taken hat-trick from Jack Midson. We lost both encounters with Wycombe Wanderers last season, a 2-1 defeat at home and 1-0 defeat away, but there was no mistake from the boys today as we battered them and deserved our victory. The only disappointing event on the opening day was the ankle injury that'll keep new signing Jody Morris out for almost two months.

A good solid pre-season ahead of the 2014-2015 campaign. Our final three games were all about boosting confidence ahead of our opening day clash with Wycombe Wanderers but our positive performances against Celtic and Cardiff City make me believe we can achieve more than a mid table finish this season.

Below is the players I've brought in during the summer and personally I'm quite happy with the business we've done. I think everybody can contribute throughout the season and it really has given us more options across the park. Hopefully we can improve upon our 13th placed finish last season and maybe push for a place in the playoffs.

It's definitely helped. Get through the season then with some summer strengthening you'll be in for a playoff place next season

The summer will be a busy period for the club I feel. Think I'll probably let a fair amount of players move on and rebuild. Have to many under performing players in the squad who aren't worthy of the salary they receive.

Horrible start mate but the formation change seems to be helping.

I guess our start was on par with expectations for the season. We're expected to finish in 17th so our start was reflective of that I suppose, but thankfully the players have began to perform a lot better with the new formation!!

Not sure we can push for promotion given how short on quality our squad is and how big the gap is at the moment, but we'll give it a go. I guess the good thing about League Two is if you can go on a good run of form it's likely teams above and around you won't be picking up as many points because the league is so competitive.

We're halfway through the League Two season and our initial struggles have subsided somewhat.

I've shifted to playing a 5-2-2-1 and so far we've done slightly better, especially at home. It's likely we're safe from the threat of relegation and likely we're to far behind to mount a challenge for the playoffs which means mid table looks likely to be where we finish, which in fairness won't be terrible in my first season in charge.

We beat Newport County and Whitby Town, both games at Kingsmeadow, in the first and second round of the FA Cup to setup a third round clash with Coventry City at home. Hopefully we can cause an upset and progress.

Having read a few topics on a few different sites it seems there may be an issue with defending on the ME.

In 16 competitive games I've kept 1 clean sheet....

Another game we didn't deserve to lose and again MK Dons have got out of jail against us.

The penalty shootout was a tense affair and we had our chances to win it, though unfortunately we didn't take them.

So another five league games have passed since the last update and despite picking up our first win against York it's not been a good period for us as we've slipped into the bottom two. Personally I don't know what I can do to turn things around at the back, I mean you're going to find it very difficult to win games when you're conceding two goals a game and that defeat against Northampton just summed it up really when they had three shots on target and scored all of them despite us dominating proceedings.

Five games into the season and I've got to admit I'm a little bit pissed off that we've not secured at least one win if not two. Conceding to many goals and there doesn't seem to be a way to plug that gap, unless we play backs to the wall football like the game against Exeter when we were down to 10 men for more than an hour.

A game we could have and should have won. We had that many clear cut chances we should have put the game beyond our rivals, but we failed to take those chances and in the end paid the price. The referee gave them two penalties and we never recovered once Jim Fenlon had been sent off.

What a way to start my career at AFC Wimbledon and more importantly what a comeback. We looked as good as beat at the half time break after Harry Pell had given away a clumsy penalty on the stroke of half time, but two goals, one of them extremely late, from Jack Midson rescued a point for us and no doubt gave us a big boost of confidence. Hopefully we can tighten things up at the other end, but overall the performance was pleasing.

The month of July is done and dusted, now the serious business begins lads!!

I've only signed the one player since taking the over at Kingsmeadow and he's an international star, well at a stretch, okay he's not an international star, but he's an international footballer and he didn't cost me anything.

I thought with Andy Frampton and Will Antwi both injured I needed another defender so I've brought in Leon Johnson who has joined from Wycombe Wanderers for nothing.

As for pre-season we played just three games as I wanted to work on our tactics on the training paddock and we remained undefeated. I'd like to make us a hard to beat side in my first season and it seems Coventry City and Aberdeen found it difficult. We travel to Torquay United on the opening day and I hope we can begin with a bang. My first home fixture is an absolute cracker against the scum that are MK Dons in the Capital One Cup first round.

I've had one or two.

Last FM I had an epic game starting with AFC Wimbledon before going on to Newcastle United, England, PSG and Manchester United. That one ended up probably being my favourite save on any FM I've had over the years.
