Eh.

"You cannot accuse people without a proper investigation, especially when it's a foreigner who is coming from a different place where we treat people of colour in a different way.
"So it was very easy to accuse someone. Luis Suarez is 100% not a racist.
"Me, I'm not racist. I've lived with people of different colours in different countries and I adapted to every single situation. Suarez needs to adapt to England, and England needs to adapt to the players that come here.
"England needs to understand how the rest of the world lives. If we have that understanding, easy."
I mean, he certainly worded it badly but you can clearly see what he was trying to say.

No, I know what you're trying to say, I was making fun of the way you framed it. I know what the general public think of Suarez. i know what I think of Suarez after watching the World Cup. He's not exactly a sportsman but... I mean I support the team which has Gus Poyet as manager. It's like that whole racism thing, right? What he did was wrong and it was right for people to let him know "hey, that's not ok". The reason I bring up Gus is that he was asked about the incident some time ago, presumably since he's from Uruguay, and he basically said that South America is very different to the UK and you can basically get away with saying different types of things which Suarez forgot about for a moment which seems sensible. People got mad at him for "defending" Suarez but that's kind of the whole point.
If you're going to talk about the coverage of this then to be honest talking about this issue is completely fucking irrelevant. A footballer scored a goal because the ball may or may not have hit his hand on purpose. You can't even say they denied Mansfield a reply. They were 1-0 up at the time, if they were at 1-0 Mansfield might not have been so attacking. Liverpool might have tried a bit harder and scored a goal anyway. It's a complete non story.
But it just goes to show what a collosal bitch fest football has become and it's one of the reasons why I'm glad I support a relatively small club. Every single time any little thing happens it turns into an us versus them depending on what team you support. Man Utd and Liverpool being the worst for this. Well, Celtic and Rangers but who gives a fuck about Rangers anymore.

True. Normally I'd agree, but on this occaision... I don't know. I can't think of any good reason to suddenly decide not to fly the Union flag anymore. There is no way they didn't know exactly how people would react but they did it anyway. Why? Blaming the loyalists in this seens like blaming a dog for biting someone when the owner has trained it to do that.
Not that I'm defending them really. I'm just saying, why provoke them like that?
Or more realistically, it was something that was never going to happen in the first place.

Also, do Bradford stand to be in the Europa if they get to the final or will that place get put back into the Prem?

I've played Fuel with a friend btw, I don't know how many people bothered to get it. The world is ridiculous. I mean really, we decided go on a drive somewhere and it took us about... I don't know 40 minutes to get about a 6th of the way across the map pretty much just going north. Plus you can offroad it and you have to scale mountains and shit. It would've been really fun if the cars weren't complete shit.

If you're going to state meaningless facts, you'd think the least you could do is get them right. You could also say "there are only 6 Premier League teams in the next round" but you wouldn't because that's stupid. I don't know why that annoyed me.

...ergh.
The drops weren't that bad. Your eyes feel so weird for the rest of the evening but I don't know if you've ever had to have someone check the pressure of your eyes? What they have to do is basically poke your eyeball for about 10 seconds each obviously without blinking or moving your head at all. You can't feel it properly because of the anaesthetic but you know it's there and someone's still been poking you in the eye and you still feel like this really weir aching sensation and all your brain wants to do is blink but if you do they have to start over.
I'm still convinced I didn't actually need that done though. They had this student doctor doing it while the actual doctor sat in the next room watching. The other doctor comes in and like dresses the guy down over what he did right and wrong etc. Then talks to me about some tests I'd already had done without really mentioning what that guy just did. This was after waiting for 2 hours in a hospital naturally.

And as I said before, the contact was minimal but it was contact. Whether it was a foul or not is hard to say, but from where I was it looked like he caught him in the thigh, Lopez lost balance and fell over, the referee blew the whistle and ran to Ameobi reaching for his pocket and then Lopez rolled along on the floor doing whatever while everyone else was looking at the ref.

I didn't have a very good view of them to be honest so idk. I do know that the referee was right up behind him for the second one and it wasn't really protested by anyone. He was throwing his weight around a lot so it might've just been the last straw for him.
I don't really like it when our players make a meal of fouls like that, but I guess that's how they play it in Spain. It would be one thing if he was going down for no reason (like Sammy Ameobi was doing for most of the first half) but eh. I'll allow it if we keep playing good football.
That's not fair. I mean, he did make a meal out of it, but the referee ignored it and went straight over to book him. His rolling around on the floor didn't contribute to that.

Can't feel sympathetic for the club. They're a complete rotten mess and they have been since they first went up. They spent their whole time in the Prem leaving outside their means and it was always going to be a mater of when it caught up to them. They overspent on average players and were spending money they didn't have. I feel sorry for their fans but that's about it.
#40229 FA Cup Thread 2012/13

Eh. It wasn't really a dive. He exaggerated the fuck out of it, but it was still a foul. The referee was right next to tackle and had no hesitation in booking him. Ameobi was late, approached him from behind and lazily tackled him. Didn't get the ball. Booking. A spaniards rolls.
Newcastle has no chance though. They couldn't work it into the box so just started taking potshots. Quite why Obertan is allowed to play for a Premier League side I'm not sure. Bigirimana was the only played who seemed to be pulling his weight. Not sure what Sami Ameobi brought to the table other than looking awkward on the ball and falling over.
I'm worried about Newcastle. I like them as a team but without Ba I can't see where their goals are going to come from. I understand they weren't playing a full team, but those players did not give a fuck and they certainly weren't playing as a team. Need to play out the season and go shopping in the summer.
But yeah, Bridge was on top form. CMS was active though actually Newcastle did do a decent job of closing him down in the first half. Orlandi impressed me with his composure. Hoskins took his goal well and did well to get into that position and ball for that goal played by Lopez was great. Bridcutt and El-Abd were solid. Barnes was completely anonymous again. A good performance though all in all. Managed to see most of the balls against a Premier League side. Kept calm and made them play at our own pace which is what we need to be doing. Happy.
