Indeed. I used to watcha series called "I Was Bitten". Here are a few of the most extreme cases I can find from the show on the net.

Below this guys thumb swells up to a huge size and then decomposes so much that the flesh and bone "liquify".

Thsi one someone is bitten and their muscles make tremors that are visible on the skin. Mental.

There was another one that bit a guy and his arm swelled up so much that they actually had to make incisions in his skin to relieve the preassure or else he would have had to have his whole arm amputated.

Best of the 3 by far, and didn't have as many plot holes as The Avengers.

Been reallllyyyyy tempted to buy one for a few weeks now. Got a Samsung S2.

Read that there could be an update to it in a few weeks though so I think I'll hold off.

If you do buy it then get it from Google. It costs a lot less and it actually runs faster due to the lack of bloat that normally comes on a phone. Also buy a case... glass front AND back.

Any thing you back on Kickstarter is a risk, I really liked Garden State so chances are ill like this film as well. Even if i dont its not a massive amount lost if i dont like it.
