We won the league by 6 points but the gap to 3rd was 20 points. Dundalk kept me honest but we thumped them 4-0 about 5 games from the end of the season to put some breathing space between us.
FAI Senior Cup (Chamakh and Eboue joined us for the last 2-3 games of the season)
EA Sports Cup
Leinster Senior Cup (last min extra time winner)
Rivalries
I won 8 of the 12 games between Shamrock and Bohemians (losing just the one)
Awards
Somehow missed out on Manager of the year (fix!) and also player of the year but Fagan (despite injuries) picked up top scorer
League - 50
FAI Senior Cup - 25
EA Sports Cup - 15
Leinster Senior Cup - 15
Rivalries - 40
Awards - 5
Total - 150
Special mention to Ike Ugbo who joined on loan half way through the season and absolutely bossed it. 23 goals and 12 assists in 22 games.

I picked up 5 bonus points beating Chievo 3-0

I know these dont count on the scoring be we won 'best team in Serie A' and Kean picked up best young forward.

Here are the fixtures. I like my teams to be very attacking and have found by playing 5 at the back it gives a defensive balance. I went behind to Senegal in the first half but for the most part we were dominant.

However 2nd season in the Championship was a cake-walk. Won the league at a canter and picked up the Challenge cup.
I fancy another change so will be looking for a bigger Scottish Prem team (if they will have me) or possibly an English Conference N/S team.

Won the league on goal difference after a very patchy season. At one point I was 12 points behind Livingstone so they completely bottled it.
Probably try and find another club again in the summer although I've got a few decent players so might try and mount back to back promotions.

Started unemployed and got the Stirling job. Team looks rubbish and I've only got one striker. Could be a struggle.

We finished 6th in the league. Level points with Chelsea and one point ahead of Arsenal. After a slow start (losing the 1st two games of the season) we soon settled and were in the top half of the league most of the season. (15 points)
League Cup - A 5-1 drubbing in the Quarter Finals by the Scum. (15 points)
FA Cup - A tough loss 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the 5th round (5 points)
Rivals - We played Man Utd 3 times during the season. W1 L2. We also had W1 D1 against Chelsea. (12 points)
Key men - Two stand out above the rest. Luke Garbutt who we picked up off Everton for a steal of £1.5m bringing him back home. Avg rating for the season of 7.8. But top marks go to Bernando Silva. Brought in from Monaco for £3.4m he was initially going to be a utility midfielder. However he made the right wing position his own. 13 goals and 16 assists. PSG are now sniffing after him and have met his £30m buy out clause
Let down - No one had a really bad season although I probably expected more from Celso Borges who has been a favourite of mine in previous versions.

I've won the Championship 1st season before so I was expecting a promotion push at the start of the year (despite media prediction of 14th). I started the season strongly and other than one or two spells where my form dipped we were top of the table most of the season. In the end I finished on 95 points (10 points ahead of Norwich in 2nd)
League Cup - JFH and his Burton(lona) took me out 1st round. I wasnt happy about it but I did rotate heavily in both Cups.
FA Cup - Again poor performance knocked out in 3rd round by Brighton.
Rivals - Home & Away wins against Millwall and Sheff Weds and a home win against Cardiff
Key men - Billy Sharp did himself proud scoring 23 goals but my main men were Mowatt who bossed the midfield and Antenucci who finished up with 18 goals and 13 assists (primarily playing as an Inside Forward on the right wing).
Let down - Adyran. Didnt fit into my formation and struggled when played as a CM

I lost Vela (£34m) and Pardo (£31m) both to PSG for their buyout clauses. So whilst I had a bit of money to play with...I had some big holes to fill. I brought in Candreva / Depay / Godin / Obiang. Overall a very good season although I feel I had a pretty easy run in the CL.
La Liga
1st: 25 points
Very strong league performance. Only 1 defeat...1st game of the season away to Barca.
Supercopa de España
Losing Finalist: 10 points
Spanked in the Supercopa
Copa del Rey
Losing Semi Finalist: 5 points
Despite a good 1st leg...Real again turned me over.
Champions League
Winner: 30 points
A pretty easy group (considering I was 4th seed) and then a nice draw against CSKA in the quarters and 'Gelsenkirchen' (Schalke) in the final.
RIVALRIES
(Competitive Fixtures Only)
Beat Athletic: 5 points
Only the one win. Osasuna and Alaves still in Adelente.
BONUS:
Player scores more goals than Messi / Ronaldo in a league campaign - 0 points. Barbosa couldnt keep up with Messi. Ronaldo nowhere to be seen.
2nd Season Total = 75 points
Running Total = 135

I took a bit of a gamble at the start of the year by selling Inigo Martinez (£18m to Barca) and using that cash to bring in a replacement (Balanta) and a few squad improvements (Gil Romero / Barbosa / Krejci). Bit annoying getting dumped out of the Europa league so early but I think it helped by Copa del Rey win.

I had a very strong finish to the season, catching up what was at one point a 13 point gap. By far the biggest contributor to this great run was young Dominic Poleon who I secured on loan from Leeds for 3 months.
He notched a goal a game and really helped out as my forwards were probably the weakest area of my team.
Unfortunately Poleon has to return by the FA Trophy final, but we sneaked a 1-0 victory over the much fancied Morecambe.
So that's 3 down with...a lot more to go! I will try and pick up a bigger job in the Blue Square Prem as Brackley are not doing well financially (already had a £2m loan when I took the position).
#290709 Man of Steel
TrevKep
A couple of Blue Square Conference jobs came up:
North: Harrogate
South: Brackley
Despite being a Leeds fan myself, having lived in Harrogate in my younger years I opted for Brackley. Having just been relegated from the Blue Square Prem their squad was a bit stronger and they also offered me more wages to work with so the decision was easy.
After a slow start (no wins in my first 4 games) things have picked up dramatically and we sit in the playoff positions after 12 games.
I've managed to bring in a few handy loan players:
John Paul Kissock (ex Everton trainee
Simon Ferry (ridiculous haircut)
Connor Smith (not heard of this chap before but top quality for this level)
If my form continues I reckon I can win the league, but I could use a few improvements to the team (GK and Striker).
#290708 Man of Steel

I took a more catious approach this year and its paid dividends...that and the legend that is Paul Wotton came in and led the boys to victory (and boomed in a couple trademark freekicks).
I'll probably stick in out in the ROI but hopefully a bigger club will want me as I dont think my Athlone team are cut out for the top division (even if I did get a cheeky win against Shamrock in the cup)
#290707 Man of Steel
TrevKep
Im getting very fed up of my best players being stolen away, but I guess thats just the way things work at this level. I am going to keep going with Athlone, but if an attractive job comes up in NI or Wales I will consider jumping ship.
#290706 Man of Steel
TrevKep
A couple of my better players were pinched during the season, and I'm struggling to get anything better in for next year, however a couple of the youngster appear to be improving, so hopefully with a full pre-season to bed in my tactics, and one or two signings and we should be able to make promotion a real possibility.
#290705 Man of Steel

So I've started unemployed and taken the Athlone Town gig. Team looks decent enough but I'm going to need to get some wingers in as I like to play a wide 4-2-3-1.
I've taken over 13 games into the season and as you can see Limerick have a decent lead, its going to be difficult to catch them.

I'm back to give this beast of a challenge another go. As far as I'm aware no-one has managed to conquer this formidable task, and I'd very much like to be the first. I had a good crack at it last year, but life got in the way, however this time I'm determined to complete the challenge.
