We need some wingers too, if Pardew wants to play 4-4-2, and we need someone to replace Ben Arfa if he goes. We also need a few squad players, and probably a new centre back.

I don't understand why that's the argument people are going for. The cream should inevitably rise to the top, otherwise it wouldn't be the top. The benefits for the smaller clubs if the system works is being left with a better standard of chaff after the wheat has moved on.

They should rise to the top once they have proven themselves, not beforehand.

The fact a UEFA A License costs about 2 grand more in England than it does in Spain and Germany speaks volumes, the FA are too greedy to really help the smaller clubs. I fail to see how implementing teams such as Man Utd B and Chelsea B and slotting them in alongside other teams is going to help anything at all? It'll help the big clubs develop players, sure - but it's pointless trying to disguise it as a fix for grassroots football - as it won't help it at all.

tbf - the media are never going to support you when you ban them from the stadium for no real reason.

What I look for in a football team is drastically different to Shola - I want to go and be entertained, a good old drink before/after with my mates and some entertaining football in the middle of it.

I don't want to be bullshitted to by Mike Ashley and Pardew about how they "get" our fans and love the club as they don't. Pardew is repeatedly showing himself up saying our fans want to be in the top 3 - which is nothing further from the truth. Our fans don't have unrealistic ambitions, they just want to see a bit of effort and entertainment with it. I know there's times we need to play defensively - such as Liverpool this weekend, and I have no problem with that. Cardiff and Swansea at home are games we shouldn't be doing so. Pardew loves playing defensively bar the 6-7 games towards the end of the 2011-2012 season, where remarkably we won about 6-7 in a row.

We don't want a 6ft2 brick shithouse Moussa Sissoko bottling tackles against Craig Bellamy, and we certainly don't want to see 6 at the back at home against Cardiff, when we're only 1-0 up.
