The balls are working fine in such competitions. Double check your installation and ensure The balls folder is in your "Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2021/graphics/pictures folder and that you DELETE the old "balls" folder when installing any updates.

I'm still looking into how to automatically select the winter ball, otherwise it means releasing two sets of balls and having to manually swap sets during the Winter months.

I do have some balls from 2017-18 but as my partner says, it depends if a decent graphic of older balls is available, otherwise quality will suffer.

I'm guessing you missed my original post where I announced the balls and the reason I could now create balls again, as I did for FM17 and FM18. With FM19 & FM20, it was impossible to replicate balls with any kind of accuracy. In FM21, Si has thankfully completely changed the ball graphic. So being totally different, the FM21 ball will not work in FM20.

Or check it in the game by clicking on "Show screen IDs in Title Bar to assist skinning" under skin setting in preferences, then search for league from main title bar.

I suspect there might be a problem with the winter ball showing. Need to investigate. Also getting the generic ball to show for friendlies and any leagues/competitions not covered in the pack.

That's where my partner and I have a difference of opinion. None of my balls in the pack have such a configuration. I don't run the Malta leagues so I can't say if it's an issue. If so, let us know and we'll discuss it. In the meantime, I'll include a modified MOV ball and you can back up the original and try the alternative.

The Malta ball in the pack is not absolutely correct but it's often difficult to find a decent graphic to work from when making minor league balls. The one in the pack is a decent representation of the current ball. I will have a look and see if I can tweak it. In most cases, if you can notice the writing in play then you need to have exceptional vision. I run FM on a 4K monitor and most small detail is not noticable or detracts from the match experience. Remember, it's not possible to replicate absolutely the detail/geometry of 3D match balls. However with the lack of absolute graphics quality in FM and the distance the balls are viewed from, I reckon they look pretty good.

Love the attachment lol. There is a Scotland ball in the default pack from Si but I will be looking at all British leagues with a view to changing any defaults with my own balls. Update coming soon !
