Hard to justify Cruyff when he only played in one World Cup and didn't win. When there's Pele, Maradona, plus guys like Hurst, Charlton and Muller who've had incredible World Cup's.

The problem with Cruyff was he came up against an excellent West Germany side with the likes of Breitner, Overath, Beckenbauer & Muller. Had they won that one final game he might be in more people's teams.

And I totally agree it's hard to put in someone when the likes of Ronaldo, Pele, Maradona et al have played in numerous World Cups and won too.

They once asked for a load of names and photos of real people to be used as regens, I can't remember which year that was though.

So, did anyone actually stay up for the Japan/Greece game then?

I didn't, was too full of disappointment to stay up. I'm glad I didn't too.

I am very nervous come on England!

Nervous optimism for me. I think we can do it but can't bare the consequences if we can't.

It's an interesting idea of promoting a whole league through just one cup, and I am liking your career goals too.

Keep this one up as I am interested.

Of course they'll be remembered. They're two of the greatest players ever. They've both done it at the highest club level and have insane personal records.

I guess I am trying to say until they have done it in a World Cup (they may even have to win it) they won't go down as the greatest ever. But that's probably just IMO.

Yes they're World Class but history remembers the big occasion. They're world class now but will they be remembered as so in 30-40 years?

Neither of them have shown in at International tournament level yet.

I guess I am sucker for World Cup history over league history though.

Drew Germany in my works Sweepstake, very happy so far.

Muller's only played 8 World Cup games and he has 8 goals, half the amount he needs to surpass Ronaldo. He's 24 and has another two World Cups in his locker (maybe three if he plays when he's 36). A bit of luck and Germany's good run of World Cups and we could be looking at the all-time World Cup top scorer.

It will be very interesting what Ronaldo can do against the two weaker teams, surely his legacy is suffering by poor performances by Portugal in World Cups?

Rooney is a bottler when it comes to the WC.

IMO you need to do it at the World Cup to be considered World Class. This is Messi & Ronaldo's biggest chance to put themselves in that bracket.

Pele and Maradona did it at their respective clubs but it's because they had exceptional World Cups they're considered the greatest ever.

I am hoping to start an International game much like Around The World II and would like the Huge Database to enable more playable International teams to sustain the game for longer.

I have scoured the interwebs for a download for this but none of the links are active anymore. I am hoping that one of you fine gents might know of a good link or even host one I can quickly download and try?

FInally a game I can get on board with. International management's where it's at brah, been telling you this for years now.

Might see if I posted my Ivory Coast game on here or Fanboys. Shame there's no Fanboys archive website, would be good to see all our old careers.

Edit: Good luck and all that shit.

It's great though. Don't have my results sheets any more, knew I doubled my scores in quite a few of the things though.

Did my second fitness test last week and the results were pretty impressive. I've tried to stay with the rigorous schedule but of course I am bound to miss the odd day.

Anyone think the added pressure could work against Brazil in future games? The refs not giving decisions as they think they'll go the same way as the Japanese ref last night and get slated?

The biggest difference between the Ronaldo, Berbatov, Carroll, Torres & Bale etc deals is they were all key players for their respective teams. Lukaku is clearly not wanted by Chelsea and can probably go for pretty cheap.

Maybe after a few MLS titles I'll go to another one of my beloved leagues, for now I'm happy to plod along and chase the dream.

'USA 94'; 86 WC got took off Colombia because the coffee market imploded, eventually Mexico got it, but imagine if USA had? Arguably the MLS would be eight years further along in its evolution. Obviously a potential 86 WC wouldn't be as successful as the 1994 WC, but from an American perspective that extra eight years could have been huge.

Here's something for you, and something I think people can relate to it. An English league dynasty? You've not been there at all since I have known you (08 maybe?) and I think it's time to make the old, the new.

Also Mexico 86 was an obvious choice, it's fairly near to Colombia and they had the infrastructure due to '70, although your sentiments I agree with.

The MLS should be played by everyone, a welcome change from the normalities of FM. The wage cap actually makes you think about squad composition to a degree.

On my front we're going ok, round about halfway stage I'm 6th in the conference, 3 points off the playoffs in 5th. I'm also 7th in the whole league, goes to show the strength of the East compared to the West.

Also into the semi finals of the US Open Cup and I'd love to win that, earlier on in FM14 I won it three seasons in a row with Columbus, and last season I got the semis with DC. That shit my calling card. I go hard in the US Cup and I go deep.

I simply don't know what it is but I just can't get involved or even stay remotely focussed on an MLS game. I shall fester here but will only take interest once you move on.

It's not you, it's me.
