I arrived at the facilities near the stadium it was overcast that day but still warm for Paraguayan weather 25°C I made my way towards my office in the stadium to drop off my possessions, it was an ominous day for our club the"Copa Libertadores Group Stage Draw". It will make or break our season, to be honest with you I was worried about the potential list of teams we could draw into our group we could easily draw some of the strongest teams on the entire continent or we could draw the lesser-known and smaller teams like ourselves. We have some pedigree in this competition but there hasn't been much to talk about for over a decade and a half...
Saw Pele on the television he seemed happy while he was there, hopefully, he would have a soft spot for us since he was there when our stadium was opened back in the '60s...
We looked around at each other and there was silence, palpable silence where you don't know what to possibly say in the situation. We stared at each other for what felt like an eternity passed, the clock ticked Mr Travato looked at us, lit up a cigar and smiled.
"Well I suppose we could have gotten a lot worse"
"I really believe we can get out of the group what do you think Seb?" I stammered.
"I think we will be very busy over the next few months
"I think we are going to need a few more footballers so we can rotate the squad in the future."
There was a general agreement that we needed a few more people in case our stars became tired due to the sheer amount of games we would need to play. Match fitness would not be a problem till June which was a nice thing not to worry about but fatigue was a killer... we would have to manage the squad within the best of our abilities so that people felt wanted but we could only register a certain amount of people for the competition. I scheduled a meeting with Mr Amarilla our Director of Football I gave him the freedom to choose who he wanted to bring in as long as he helped it fitted the team's philosophy and that he would consult me about it if they were first-team calibre members.

You are told that you can either sink or swim, you take a chance on someone and if they fail you look like a fool... But if they succeed then your a Fucking Genius. Marco Trovato owner of Club Olimpia took a chance on me and I wanted to repay his trust in me with trophies and unbridled success... but I'm well aware that at any point, being in the precarious situation of being the First Team Manager that I will be replaced in a cold manner that football is known for.
I was living my dream job, managing the club that I had worshipped since I was a young child with my father and grandfather before me but even I knew that if I looked at this club through rose-tinted glasses I was doomed to fail before I even started. I had asked Mr Trovato to his face about how much he was willing to put faith in me and my decision making because we both knew without saying much, changes needed to be made.
December 2018
Firstly I requested him to terminate the contract of Ernesto Urquiza. He reluctantly agreed and I personally told him I would find him a replacement.
I offered up a list of personnel that I believe would benefit the club and the way it is run, give and take is essential...
to be continued...

Thank you for giving me some advice.

The pros are;
Clubs are bigger and more attractive to future signings and loanees.
More Co-efficient points and slots for the Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.
Higher quality of Youth football and Reserves.
The Cons are;
Hierarchy of the League. (there are a general top tier set of teams that will be hard to oust)
Tougher competition.
Very clear "Best of the Rest"
However, on the flip side would people rather me pick a country such as Bolivia that has a lower standard of football that has never the cup and would be the Hardest to start with to get it over sooner rather than later?

I'm starting out with 10's across the board so that I have not an OP manager but I should be able to get at least to the Job Interview stages when the time comes.
