Barca lost to Celta. Messi fails to break the La Liga scoring record.

It's saw a rather depressing statistic being banded about on Facebook; following his goal agains Granada today, Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored twenty times since Villa last did.

Interesting to see the On/Off Topic debate coming back. I agree that it is a nice thing to have, but as Rob mentioned it would need to be monitored and limited to preserve the careers section and others. Maybe something like a limit on how much you can enter in the thread (Not so much a word limit but like post length/number of screenshots etc) and use it to encourage people to other threads like "My story is here if anyone is interested *LINK*." For those who aren't writing a story the minimal updates should suffice, I wouldn't have thought the they would be posting too much anyways as otherwise the may as well have a career thread

Random (ish) question. With add ons, i.e. English Level 12 add on, do the hero challenges just include Vanarama N/S up to Prem or the whole thing? For example if I had level 12 loaded but took a Vanarama North side to the Prem, would that still count as bottom to top as it is official leagues?

I believe so yes, I'm sure somebody did it from the Northern league to Prem over on the SI board.

Once the game is released properly and FMEurope make their update to enable playing in the CFA and a decent Brazilian Serie D add-on comes out I fancy the national hero challenges within one save, especially now Scotland has promotion into and out of League Two.

No point starting a challenge as long as that until the game is released properly with patches. Might give it a go in the future though.

Why did Villa give Lambert that new deal after only a couple of good results earlier in the season? This was always gonna happen afterwards.

I can only assume that Lerner wanted to maintain stability after listing the club for sale not long before, might also have been to play down rumours that Roy Keane had been brought in to replace him.

Good save by Rob Green there.

This is a dire match.

First half wasn't too bad, since half time though there's been a lot of mistakes and backpassing.

Edit: Fuck sake.

We really should be winning by a goal or two, we've been by far the better team but the final ball into the box has been sub-par.

Found out today that I have indeed been selected as one of the company's runners for the marathon to raise money for the WHSmith's trust.

I guess I better start training then, got a bit of a belly to run off, this bag of M&M's is my last I swear!

We could really do with a win against QPR tonight after four straight defeats, and not even scoring a solitary goal in that time.

Just noticed that the new MLS franchises, New York City and Orlando are playable, I'm a bit surprised as I thought SI would only have licensing for the current season and these teams don't join the league until the new season begins in the spring.

Nice surprise though!

Our league campaign opened in the most desirable way possible as we maintain a 100% record in Evo-Stick D1S, unfortunately our ambitions of a run in the FA Cup were dashed at the first hurdle by ninth tier Norton United.

We opened with a solid win over neighbours Mickleover in front of our own supporters, Danny Quinn continued his fine pre-season form with the opening goal of the campaign, he has followed up with another two in the subsequent fixtures as we perched ourselves upon the summit of the division;

I was particularly pleased with the 2-0 win over Bedworth who were one of the sides relegated from the Premier League last season, the Greenbacks are odds on with the bookies to make an instant return, so it was satisfying to see my team contain them and hit them with both barrels on the counter.

Our impressive start earned me some personal recognition;

It wasn't all good news this month however as we crashed out of the FA Cup in the preliminary round, I fielded a heavily rotated team in order to rest my tired first team, East Midlands Counties League side Norton United took advantage of this as they took a 47th minute goal, a red card for youth team product Brad Metcalf didn't help matters much as we bowed out with barely a whimper. The loss of potential prize money from a good cup run is the most frustrating aspect of this defeat as every penny counts at this level.

Stoke have become my go-to team as my approach consists of little more than lumping into the box and hoping for the best. Peter Crouch is a FIFA god.
