Great tactic, will try it out later. Can you try to recreate Allegri´s tactic that he is using at Milan this season? It should be fun since Allegri has also been known for his “boring” football.

 You can keep the center of the pitch crowded by making the mid-block press deeper. You can shorten the passing distance and reduce ball losses with it.

 

when you say making the mid-block press deeper you mean like using the “drop off” instruction?

Hi, good question. I chose a positive mentality because Mourinho this year at Roma is trying to retain possession more than last year, and when he struggles to do so, then the long ball to Lukaku is a solution. so I decided to try with this positive mentality. About Lukaku, I tried with Target forward first, but I saw that there is one personal instruction that does not match with Lukaku's characteristics, I don't remember now what instruction it was, you can check if you want, just put Lukaku as target forward in the game, and check his instructions, you will see there is a red mark on one of them. So I decided to go for an AF

Thanks for your answer, it makes total sense. What tweaks would you do when facing a superior team or when you need to defeand a lead in a game or in a second leg game?
