It's probably glitching with some other DB files (Could it be DaveIncid's realism pack?) or otherwise some weirdness with Promotion/Relegation from Provinciale/Derde Klasse.

I had a save game with the same setup in the beginning of that save. Ran it three times to 1st of July 2025 and only once did it crash and again because of Derde Klasse not scheduling any games in the previous year. So all in: 2 crashes and 2 times were everything went fine.

I should have noted the teams going up and the ones getting relegated every time… but I was an idiot. Was busy with other stuff, should have taken my time with it. Save file is gone now, as I wanted to redo my entire setup and start a new game asap.

Also, to be clear: I don't blame you Chielen, these things happen. I am grateful for the work you put in the past years. Not many (if any) that put as much love into the Belgian league system.

The DB editor is also not the greatest to work with, as it seems every year it gets more unstable. Let's hope for something better with the new engine… but I doubt it.

Had the same problem, crashes at 1st of July in 2025 even with holidaying. Starting from different dates in the save and holidaying through also crashes.

Apparently for the 24/25 season: Derde Afdeling never got scheduled.

Didn't add players to playable teams.
