Would there be any reason why the player attribute file is causing a huge number of players to be added into the save, without adding very many leagues? With no leagues loaded, it already shows over 150,000 players, and when you add a normal number of leagues, it jumps up close to 300,000 players.

Done some more digging. Interestingly, the two files ‘Player Attributes’ and ‘Player History’ don't appear when downloading previous versions of the FM24 updates - https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/releases# (not sure if that archive is only the free version. So far this only seems to appear in the ‘live’ premium file. So perhaps this is an issue in the premium version?

 

When I select databases, if I do not include the player attributes file, the player count is much more reasonable and in line with the selected leagues.

Player count has spiked to 172,000 players without adding any nations

 

I'm having this issue too, except mine has spiked to 290,000. 

 

I have isolated it to the ‘sortitoutsi.net FM24 Data Update - Player Attributes.fmf’ file. When I add this file in, the player count spikes.

I've just downloaded the updates, however when I use the ‘sortitoutsi.net FM24 Data Update - Player Attributes.fmf’ file, the database automatically loads in 290,000 players or so. Is this intended, or something wrong with the file? Would like to be able to start my game with slightly fewer players in the database!
