No you shouldn't have to. I will release the 2.0 on Saturday and that will fix all issues stated here.

As per the comment above I ahve the same problem and everything is in the right palce as above.  Do I have to change a setting in the game to get this to start working?

I found uninstalling Cheat engine full using IOBIT Uninstaller and then fresh installed Cheat engine 7.6 fixed all my problems.

Sorry, the new version today seems to have problems with buttons, so when you go to settings and turn off the above mentions option, the OK and Cancel button wont work.

ALso, when you run the script, the popup box appears about dark mode but the ‘OK’ button is disabled and wont let you click it.
