It's kinda overstated though, all clubs do it.

Would United or City become a cancer if they bought Bale?

It just is a fact of football, always has been.

Bayern have done nothing wrong; I'm disappointed in Götze though.

Not to the same extent, though, I mean once or twice, yeah shit happens but Bayern actively seek to weaken their rivals whilst strengthening themselves. I realise that's an entirely logical business plan but it isn't good for domestic football in Germany. It means that a club that is already way ahead of every other club in Germany in financial terms is able to consistently weaken any other challengers. Unless Bayern collapse in truly spectacular fashion, it's just going to result in more domestic campaigns like this year's where there is no real competition for the title because nobody can come close to matching Bayern's resources. Legal or not, that isn't good for the Bundesliga.

in terms of buying players from same division clubs to make them weaker because they got all the money they dont differ too much.

For all that City are supposedly 'bad for football' we've never gone right out and bought our nearest rival's best player. Bayern do that on a regular basis. They consistently undermine the overall quality of German football in a bid to remain the dominant force. Neither City or Chelsea - or United at the height of their spending - have done that in the same way in England.

On the upside, at least Dortmund can now afford Edin Dzeko.

Short of Suarez and M'Bia, is there a player more deserving of a two-footed challenge on them in the league in terms of dishing out horror tackles and elbows? Maybe one of the faceless midfield engines at Stoke?

I doubt it, but we'll see.

They haven't.

An interesting bit from a piece in the Guardian:

The current champions are planning another show of strength in the transfer market, with their chief executive, Ferran Soriano, privately acknowledging that the club made serious errors of judgment last summer when Brian Marwood was in charge of recruitment.

Soriano, who was not at the club at the time, believes Mancini has genuine grievances after they lost out on Robin van Persie to United, as well as other targets including Eden Hazard and Oscar, and ended up with Javi García, Maicon, Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair.

The former Barcelona executive expects to sign three or four established players and has spoken behind the scenes about the importance of each of them being an upgrade on players currently in those positions. He has also confirmed there will be a considerable exodus of Mancini's fringe players.
