There's Tor!, though that isn't really as thorough. There's also some book about Spanish football but I can't remember the title of it.

Morbo?

If you're going to pick one player as symbolic of Arsenal's decline, it's clearly Abou Diaby. Or Squillaci. It's never Giroud though.

Ramos sent off for 2 yellow cards within 2 minutes. 16th red card in La Liga for him.

Has he beaten Hierro's record yet, or is that still to come?

He's clearly not shit - he's just not a 17m midfielder or whatever they bought him for.

Could have 3 Cabaye's for that, and change.

Yeah but Cabaye was never a £4m midfielder either

The point is that there are no current/recent players openly gay (apart from that guy in the Swedish 3rd tier) and whilst Rogers isn't a big-name, he's fairly well known. If he can come out, and not have his career suffer for it, it would demonstrate to both fans and players alike that the football world as a whole is willing and able to accept gay people.

As it is, it shouldn't be a big deal but sadly it is. Gay players are afraid of coming out - or even just being open about their sexuality - for fear that their career and general life would suffer. The sooner we get some high-profile, well regarded (i.e. not players like Luis Suarez) by t gay players the sooner we can truly consign player's sexuality to the irrelevant.

Any good? Appleton has been speaking highly of him.

He's good and he's going to be a very, very good player in a few years.

He hasn't had too big a role in our first-team but he's been good when he's played, he's probably the best of our young players, and I know he was fantastic for Appleton at Portsmouth last season.

Not sure where Appleton will play him, though. He's a centre-back but can play at left-back too - that's where he played at Portsmouth. Either way, he's a good player. Hopefully he gets a chance against Arsenal.

Plus i fail to see how being a footballer has stopped him from coming out, that's his choice no one else's.

Nobody said otherwise.

But it's quite obvious why he would be reluctant to come out whilst he was still playing.

It wouldn't bother me at all.

Good that he's come out, hopefully it can be the start of something. Hopefully it's more of a break than a retirement too. 25 is too young to quit for good.

Wasn't Ronaldo talking about his ambitions to become Real Madrid's all-time leading goalscorer the other day?

At the rate he's going, that can't be too far off.

but if it was an angry scouser they'd feel threatened into buying it, it's can't fail.

It would if they couldn't understand you.
