Yeah that was piss weak. Schneiderlin and Rojo looked like they barely tried to get onto the end of it. Happy with the performance overall so far, the youngsters have been very good. Expecting Arsenal to show up for the second half though.

We're more idiotic than i thought if that price is true. No use making all this money if we're just gonna piss it away like that.

Solidifying his status as a player that he plays absolutely nothing like, and was a good player for us?

As a player who on his day was unplayable, but didn't have those days all that often and was for the most part incredibly frustrating

what a clusterfuck that was - and now to make up for it he'll probably try and overdo everything, just run into Stoke defenders all afternoon solidifying his status as Nani 2.0

Welcome back Manchester United fans! haha!

In fairness, you were the one being pretty smug on Saturday. I resisted the urge to comment then and it turned out pretty well

They're gonna be gunning hard for Guardiola for the summer now that it seems he is leaving Bayern. As will City...and hopefully us too

What a ball that was from Carrick, credit to Fellaini for somehow managing to stay upright to poke that in

The greatest holding mid in Premier League history has just retired, time to join the backroom staff now Gilberto.

...I'd of rather had Makélélé tbh

Irony is that this is the least Van Gaal like United game we've ever had and its the night people will turn on him.

Yeah after that first goal I would have loved a boring defensive LVG performance

This has been Mata's best game in ages and he's pulling all the strings in attack.

So of course we take him off so we can hoof it to Fellaini.

For Nick Powell of all people, who last week was described as "nowhere near fit"

I remember they've changed the rules on this recently, but I can't remember from what to what, but I think the fact that he hasn't touched it, hasn't moved towards the ball, and hasn't obstructed the keepers vision all mean it should count.

The fact that the keeper dives over the top of the ball, and the decision gets changed when todays referee, Dante, goes and shouts at the assistant, make it annoying.

I'm pretty sure thats the general jist of the change aye - like i said my own initial reaction was that it wasn't a goal . He's definitely in the keepers eyeline, but yeah it all depends on whether the moving towards the ball is the important bit or not. Either way my main point was that I can definitely see why it wasn't given - I don't feel cheated or anything. Though the lateness of the decision was a little dodgy - unless the lino was making sure Mata didnt get a touch

There's no way he stops the keeper from seeing where it's going.

We can score more goals tonight. Come on boys.

Yeah but a case could be made the the keep might have assumed he would try and control it or hit it, and therefore try and be ready for that instead. This was literally the rule change that was made at the beginning of this or last season iirc

My first thought on the replay was that it wasn't a goal tbh. Mata whether intentionally or not could definitely be classed as interfering - its reasonable for the GK to think he was gonna get a touch it was right at him

We can either defend brilliantly and be shit up front or be decent going forward and shit at the back. They were all just standing still for god sake

But yeah that's us out now for sure
