No messing about from us, already made our first summer signing in Fabinho from Monaco, needed a DM for a while now and he can play right back as well which is always handy. Good start to the window, even though its not opened yet

Yeah cracking signing that, esp with Keita coming your way too. You'll have a hell of a midfield

A team with a defence consisting of Smalling/Jones and two 30+ year old midfielders shouldn't be winning anything tbh

The Division is a hell of a lot better now than it was, showers you with loot. It's just a shame it was already a dead game before all the good changes were made.

Hazard was looking at the ref before he'd even finished falling, knew exactly what he was doing. Think our players are just frustrated at how they are going down from even the slightest contact. But yeah stupid as fuck from him to stick a leg out seconds after the ref had spoken to em all. Only really gonna be one result now, Rashford will have all 3 centre backs on him and won't get a sniff.

Jesus, the ref had a shocker. United getting dubious penalty shocker..

Mings should get a long ban for that, could have been very very bad.

I know right, our 2nd pen in the league all season, dunno how we get away with it

Real talk, Ibra's elbow was fucking on point.

Hell I'd do it too if I was stepped on the face with a studded boot.

Think most people would have tbh, but yeah there's no way he should have been on the pitch to miss that pen

Kevin Friend shouldn't be reffing again this season after today's game. Shocking is an understatement

My presumption is that because the ref spent an age chatting with Zlatan, he's probably not going to be banned in retrospect.

I dunno, I genuinely think he didn't see it. If he did I have no idea how he is still on the pitch. No idea what the chat was for.

Ibra not sent off for elbowing somebody, Mings not sent off for stamping somebody, Surman sent off for complaining to the referee.

Ref has no control on this game.

On top of that he booked Surman twice without sending him off for a minute or two as well

Ah wait you added that, my bad

Are we expecting retrospective bans for Ibrahimovic and/or Mings? Both would deserve it for their stupidity.

You'd hope so for sure.

We better bring some pace on in the second half. So annoying seeing how open Bournemouth are at the back, Martial tearing their right back to bits... and then Zlatan/Rooney and Mata playing at a snails pace.

Zlatan/Rooney up top is painful to watch, dropping deep and playing through balls for each other that neither has the legs to run on to.

Both defences are so poor so far, probably suits us as we have better quality up top, but no idea how this is 0-0

Oh wait nvm...

First time this season I really can say that the referee saved us. Clear penalty that wasn't given for that Azpilicueta handball!

You mean apart from the first few weeks of the season when Costa kept scoring winners when he shouldn't have even been on the pitch.

Of course Newcastle's (currently) losing to a team in a lower division ffs.

Cant even have the silver living of avoiding extra games when in a promotion challenge as Brighton went and imploded as well

No matter who plays, or what combination we put out, we're going to struggle as long as we're so fucking profligate.

As with the Liverpool game I think we probably shaded it, and possibly deserved more than a draw on the balance of play (not sure Stoke actually had a shot on target), but if you can't put the ball in the net you deserve everything you get, or don't get in this instance.

Yup, 25 shots and I don't remember us even troubling their keeper until the 94th minute

Well that was very poor. Passing has been downright dreadful at times, the midfield needs a right bollocking. Only enjoyment I got out of that half was Shawcross getting thrown about like a child by Ibra and moaning like he's being hard done by

United fans so classy, booing Fellani as he warms up and then as he comes on the pitch.

You mean like how your own fans were booing Moreno yeah?
