Haha it's actually a lyric from a song by one of my favourite bands. As much as its nonsense I've always really liked it for some weird reason and I've used it for pretty much everything for like the last 10 years

Thanks too man, Yeah it was actually between Turkey and Sweden for me too as Sweden is notoriously a pain in the arse to get out of the lower leagues. But i've had fun managing in Turkey before so that won me over.

So I'm starting a Career thread for the first time in quite a while but its something I've been itching to do. The main point of this is to have a nice long career save and my loose aim is to bring a team up to dominate their nation and then onto their continent. Obviously anything can happen in FM so many goals will come and go but I plan on giving this the long haul. Progress will be slow to begin with as I still have a bunch of assignments to finish for Uni but after May 13th I will be all over this.

So yeah I loaded up a bunch of leagues and decided to start in the lowest league in Turkey. I had a good time in there a few years ago with Ankaragucu and was happy to see they were still there, but with a 1st place prediction i decided I didn't want the pressure too early and instead settled for Korfez FK.

Nothing much to them really, founded in 1995 and have never left Turkeys lowest league. Media prediction is to finish 14th out of 18. No trophies and a bunch of awful players. Just how I like it. As you can see I lost to my own reserve team so there is much work to do with my transfer budget of £0

In all fairness, Moyes beat the teams in the bottom 3 too

all of Cardiff, Fulham and West Brom have taken points off us and Sunderland knocked us out the Cup so i'll take what I can get

to be honest the best thing for me was just seeing that whenever we got the ball everyone flew forward, or at least aimed to. Which we really haven't seen enough of.

Id rather have Van Gaal. I think his ability to not take any shit from the big players is something Moyes definitely lacked and he might just give Rooney and a few others a big kick up the arse and make them realise they should not be bigger than the club.

Aye i know about the City match that one was as plain as day that he should have been off. I cant comment on the Sunderland match as I never saw it but I wouldn't say I am surprised.

I'd like to see him there. He is still a good manager just wasn't the right fit for us and Newcastle have always been the club ive had the biggest soft spot for so I would love to see him go there and do well.

he has definitely improved to some degree aye. But there was a period of about 10 minutes in the City game where it seemed like gravity was just too much for him and that was pretty frustrating to watch. But annoyingly it seems to be a part of the game now with the whole 'anticipating contact' debate, its definitely one of my biggest annoyances when watching football.

and as much as I hate to say it Liverpool do deserve the title, regardless of decisions. They could get a bunch of horrible decisions next season, these things happen.

been a while man. I havent had a good long save since 2009/10 I believe. Inspired me to do another one this summer once Uni work is all complete, head back into the late night FM marathons.

Also agree about the tactic system on 14, its bloody horrible
