#166844 Transfer Rumours 2013/14

#165573 A bit of help required
Marc.
Wh at's happening is the Lowland and Highland Leagues run in tandem over the season with the winners facing each other over 2 legs and the winner of that facing the bottom side in Scottish League 2 over two legs - the winner either being promoted or remaining in the bottom tier.
How do I go about doing this correctly?

He'll probably not get his contract renewed so can maybe see him going to Gateshead if they get promoted from the Conference.
He did well against Hearts on Wednesday, playing on the right wing. He's strong and quick, very direct too - he might work as a right back but i'm not sure Archie will want to try that out, especially with Jordan McMillan doing so well and Ross Meechan in the wings from the Under 20's.
As for that performance on Wednesday, first and second half were night and day - we didn't look like we were getting anything and were very sloppy defensively, cannot believe we just let Paterson saunter through for the opener, our weakness for set pieces made Wilson's goal all the more inevitable when it came about.
Archie deserves credit for changing the side the way he did, getting no-hopers [although not for the want of trying to fit in] like John Baird and bringing Lyle Taylor and adding Lee Mair have completely rejuvenated the side, that's not including the resurgence in form of Kallum Higginbotham and Kris Doolan.
Then there was Gary Fraser, bit of controversy with him earlier in the season with the nine-game ban but he's a major prospect, tremendous passing range and a stunning equaliser last night, we'll be fending off bids for him if he keeps up his form, luckily we have him contracted to 2016.

Hugely improved from last season.
#131384 Mid-Term Report
Marc.
League Position: 10th
Star Man: Kris Doolan
Most Improved: Jimmy Craigen
Best Youngster: Aaron Taylor-Sinclair
Most Disappointing: Steven Lawless. Though he has had a resurgence in recent weeks.
Best Game: Beating Ross County 3-1 going on six or seven.
Best Goal: Kris Doolan's goal at Inverness, had to be 15-20 pass move before excellent shimmy and finish
Worst Game: Getting horsed at Aberdeen, losing 5-1 to Motherwell was painful but we showed some glimpses of quality in that game, less so about the match at Pittodrie.
How's the manager doing? He's starting to struggle though he went out after the Motherwell game and brought in Lyle Taylor on loan, prone to tactical naiivety at times but we've never played absolutely stinking in many games this season. I'll give him the season and if we stay up, review his position then. It's his first full season as a manager and seemed a bit of a reluctant hero.
What player do you want in January? We've not been scoring many goals so a striker, which we now have, was one priority. We need cover in midfield and defence as well.
Where will you finish? 10th.
Overall Grade: B-
B- because I never expected us to tear up trees this season though we could well have had we taken the chances we've missed. Bar one or two here and there, our entire side has no experience in the top flight.

Ricksen is just 37 and isn't long retired from football, what a dreadful situation for his family.

It's good to see, however, that both halves of the Old Firm have came together for once and actually have been decent over this instead of petty point scoring.

Celtic are the biggest and best team in Scotland, defending champions etc. so it'll be a massive test for our players but if we can keep them at bay I think we have every chance of nicking something if Lawless, Doolan or Higgy are able.
That said this is the first time I'll be seeing us play Celtic in a competitive game, around 10,000 at the game will surely be a special day. After all, these are the games you look forward to.

My "new" ground is being upgraded with undersoil heating and have been moved to the Voldslokka Stadion for 9 months, having researched it looks abandoned.
How come I've been moved here and not back to Bislett, where the club played before?
