good evening i want to ask a question the italy file between what is released?

Hi Stefania, each week I return to leagues which were previously waiting to announce which teams would be in their divisions so if Serie C has been determined Italy will be in the DB soon.

files with no rule changes to leagues DO NOT need to be verified pre game just saved

this was a bug that was happening previously in FM21

but try changing to fmf that should work and remove any other previous versions of the file/s

@TheMinsterman FYI

I will have a look into what we can do, I only export to xml for the extra files upload here, if they could be fmf it would be easier.

Just on all the league .fmf files!

Try unticking the English file and loading the others, it is the only file with any changes which would require verification the others do not change anything which would render the files unworkable.

Hi any chance of doing the German leagues?

Last round of German updates I did I was just waiting on a promotion from the 3. Liga, if that is now confirmed expect them very soon.

This has nothing to do with your files mate

usually a user hasnt deleted previous versions of the data update from their editor data folder, or there is a bug in the data update editor

previously there have been issues like this if someone is using a pirated version of the game also

Yeah that was my first thought, I've not actually editted England or Barcelona so there's no reason for a conflict.

Ronald koeman (Barcelona) and Gareth Southgate(England) is coming up as assistant managers in the update mate. They should be managers

Very odd, nothing in my extra files should have done this. I will look into it.

England (League) includes all promotions and relegations plus Dovers points deduction so is functional as things stand.

Hi Scott brown (5206665) from Aberdeen is a player/assistant manager now but still only comes as a player in the game. Would be great if you can fix this

This appears to have been entered into the DB, is the game not recognising him as a P/AM? File with Che Adams now available.

Edit - Please note that I do not currently have the site changes installed as I am away with my laptop atm and just doing file changes.

The update/s will be part of the normal Data update click on link below

and then use the download link there[follow the instructions too How to install a Football Manager Data Update] to have all the extra files[its up to you what file/s you use]

Unfortunately the game no longer accepts XML files when starting a new game. So we need to manually create FMF files.

Use the following instructions:

Download the XML File
Open the Pre Game Editor
Click: File > Import and select the downloaded XML file
Click: File > Save As and save the file as "sortitoutsi.net Data Update - Changes"
Use the form below to Upload the FMF file

Would it be possible to add injuries or bans? For example Andre Onana was suspended by the UEFA for a year starting today. Such a shame, one of the best goalkeepers of the world who mistakenly used a pregnancy medicine of his wife (that included something that doesn't even improve performance). Besides that, it would be great to include that level of realism in the data update.

I agree with the wages, most of the times when players transfer it changes but by letting the game decide stops unbalanced effects.

What I'd also love to see is that I'm able to change my request/submission when it has not been approved yet. When you make a mistake you have to file in the submission twice.

As long as somebody can help me collate the data, I will do an injuries and bans extra file, at least for the “major” leagues.

I agree with letting the game set it personally, it will make editting club finances so much easier, somebody submitting a massively inflated wage can unbalance a clubs finances, likewise if they go way under etc. I can always include wage edits where relevant in the financial extra file I presume? (i.e. clubs in danger due to wages, make sure they are in game and a challenge etc).

very difficult this year with the covid mess and bugs in the editor....these things happen I know from experience how frustrating it can be doing a long term project for it to fall down with a bug/s

do you want to keep the threads pinned to the forum for a bit longer?

I'd say keep them pinned for now before phasing them out for identical threads for FM21, then we go again after the traditional final SI database release!

This is correct, given the release of the newest game I'll be focusing on preparing for next summer and learning some the lessons from the issues Covid tossed up. The need to learn league editing is one such take away! Apologies to everybody for the difficulties with this year's update, it's been a strange year but we live and learn, work will go into making sure next year is the best it can be 🙂

Disable the Europe file is the only fix, it does of course mean teams will not be in as they should be for this season. It's a shame but these things happen, we'll come back stronger next year hopefully with less disruption to tackle too! I will still see if I can find a fix.

Unfortunately this years has been a difficult one, there will inevitably be bugs and issues due to the coronavirus issues, when I have time I will do what I can and upload what I can but I can't make any promises with this years edition.

The European qualifier issue I am aware of, it's likely due to changes in countries number of qualified teams, for some reason the game simply does not like it, I am trying to find a solution.
