The proximity to release date you're talking about is extremely worrying. It's July, the game should be done and dusted for a few months now and all the devs should move on to work on fm26 and 27, but so far, at least from Miles' message, it looks like the UI still isn't finished yet. The in-match screenshot even says it's not from a game build. Then what is it? A mere concept build? Just an idea which hasn't been fully fleshed out yet?

And similarly to you, I'm nervous. Not just about UI - because hopefully SI isn't stupid enough to ditch out all the skinners who put thousands of hours into it as a hobby and destroy all their work (though I wouldn't put it past them, given they forced FMinside to change the attributes on their website just a week ago) - but about the game in general. It's been obvious fm25 will be more of a transitional period for the game, where there'll be a lot of bugs and quick updates to fix them (or not, since fixing bugs is not SI's specialty - say fm23 and all the Spanish regens named exactly the same), but so far not a single thing has given me confidence to trust them in making a working game. Fm24 is already kinda mid and it's supposed to be the most complete version up to date, for heaven's sake. And now they're removing almost all game modes, touchline shouts (which they reworked just 3 years ago, mind you) and social media (so whatever). The only changes we're getting this year are the new UI which may not be done yet and the new graphical engine where we haven't seen a single screenshot so it's hard to say anything about it. Hopefully we'll get graphics from ~2015 since I don't count on anything better. A huge portion of the fanbase has old PCs after all so obviously we won't be getting the best graphics.

And they're still ignoring the biggest problem yet, the match engine, where you can finish top 4 in the Prem with Nottingham Forest if you have physically good players who, besides their phisical attributes, are league two quality. I understand a rework of 20 years of work is hard, but supposedly they've been working with Unity since 2020 and the new graphical engine is probably the best chance they get at upgrading it for at least another 20 years. 

But maybe, just maybe, it's all a pessimistic outview and fm25 really starts a new era for fm.

Did SI break the in-game editor or is it hardcoded to not be able to make any changes to the European formats?

I play it rather slowly - instead of pressing spacebar every 10 seconds, I often go through some managers' history or a club's past league positions. It means my saves can be rather long and in the meantime I get distracted by other things, say I want to play some other game. That could explain why my FM saves are short (my longest one is maybe 3 seasons, maybe 2.5), but doesn't explain why my fifa careers have a similar length. Perhaps it's just my personality to play for a short while and then stop forever.

Also - so far, at least - some of my saves have ended with some database updates and waiting for new files to drop (like right now I'm waiting for the updated leagues and transfers for the new season). I want my saves to be as realistic as possible so continuing a save with Mbappe at Barcelona or Tchouameni at Arsenal is like bleach on my eyes (though I guess I can't do much about stupid transfers - seems like SI can't do anything about it either, judging by the ‘improvements’ made in fm24 lol).

I don't know if it's a good thread for that (pardon if it's not), but the game still considers Franck Haise a coach (it's his ‘preferred job’), even though he's been a manager for years (according to transfermarkt, and even FM itself, for almost 7 years at this point - https://www.transfermarkt.com/franck-haise/profil/trainer/27176). I think making his preferred job a manager would make a lot of sense, especially since OGC Nice has already appointed him as a new manager, not a coach (https://www.ligue1.com/Articles/News/2024/06/06/nice-appoint-franck-haise).

Just out of curiosity, what date did you get stuck on?

I do have some stutters during the match as well, but only when I'm watching the bot play - my own games go rather smoothly. It's been like that since release and I couldn't come up with a solution even though I dug around the forums and reddit. Hope you have more luck than me. 

Hey, I don't know if it's the fix's fault or not, but Christophe Galtier is not in the game and if you go to Ligue 1's manager of the season, in 2018-19 his name has a typo (Galteir). Leo Jardim is not present as well. I know both of them are coaching somewhere in Qatar/UAE or something like that, but other managers from this region are present (Bento, Nuno, Jorge Jesus, Jaissle, Frank de Boer).

Hi, I think the getfiles download isn't working (something about the specified key not existing). Also a quick question - if I want to download all 13 files, should I extract each one right after downloading or should I download all of them first and then extract all 13 files at the same time?
