How do i unzip the file on a mac?

Just got a macbook and won't let me use this file after downloading it. Had no trouble last year when doing it on a pc. Am i being stupid??

whenever i download the file and try and open it or unzip it it just comes up saying file cannot be opened as its invalid?????
