Hi - I'm having a strange issue where player IDs do not match what I see in FMRef.com and this is generating issues with face packs. I think this is affecting reserve/youth team players in Argentina.

I am using F24's paid Live Update data and nothing else (editor data folder screenshot attached).

Example 1: Matias Unyicio (player ID # 2000438820 https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/person/2000438820 / https://fmref.com/person/2000438820) shows up as # 2002092068 ingame (screeshot attached)

Example 2: Gianfranco Ledestre (player ID # 2100055761 https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/new-person/2100055761) shows as # 2002091296 ingame (screenshot attached)

Example 3: Leonel Jaime (player ID # 2000386780 https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/person/2000386780 / https://fmref.com/person/2000386780) shows as a different player ingame # 2002044336 (probably an unrelated duplicate player issue, as I see this person though unregistered to any team here https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/person/2002044336 / https://fmref.com/person/2002044336 - screenshot attached)

I just came back to FM24 and downloaded the Enhanced Football Manager Data Update as of 15 May 2026 11:01:00

I think I am seeing similar issues to the ones described above, namely some transfers not really showing in the data. For example, Sebastian Boselli (ID # 2000090212) is showing up in River (ID # 94) instead of Getafe, or Matias Galarza (ID # 79035283) is also showing up in River instead of Atlanta United (when I check these players in fmref.com they correctly show in Getafe & Atlanta United). Strangely, more recent transfers of River are visible, such as coach Eduardo Coudet being properly assigned to River. 

I've deleted all editor data contents and just tried with Sortioutsi's license fixes and the enhanced data update but issue persists. All files are properly located in My Documents\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\editor data without subfolders or name alterations.

I am on database version 24.3.0 on an Epic Game's FM24 version.

Any clue as to why this might be happening would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

RESOLVED: this was an issue on my end pertaining to the “sortitoutsi.net FM24 Data Update - +2 Age and Contract Years” file.

I wanted to do a playthrough starting in 2025 (any date) to use the most up to date data. I never understood playing older years/competitions with today's squads and transfers, feels weird to me. But I guess this is the drawback of wanting to play in South America (Argentina).

I now found the following “No Date Changes" Data Update, so I guess I'd need to use this - however judging from the number of .fmf files it includes apparently would be missing a lot of updates compared to Classic FM's? Also does not have the Dynamic capabilities? 😢 

Is there anything the Classic FM team would be able to do to cater for those who want to play up-to-date squads/transfers in current year? I'd be willing to pay for this suscription, given that I originally thought I'd be able to play this way using Classic FM.

hey Zoul, thanks for the prompt response. I see what you mean, but wouldn't all competitions need to be pulled back a year then to maintain consistency? Now I have 2025 squads playing 2024 competitions (i.e. Copa America) and missing this years' competitions (ie. FIFA Club World Cup).

Any way to disable this mechanic/effect? I've tried unselecting “Classic FM - +1 Age and Contract Years” but that did not work

Hi! I am having an issue where contracts are not updated, i.e. contracts that should be expiring in Dec-25 are set to expire in Dec-24 in my game. A few examples of the issue: Miguel Borja (ID 76033093) contract is set to expire in Dec-24 when in reality should expire in Dec-25. Giuliano Galoppo (ID 14219440) has been loaned from Sao Paulo to River Plate in Jan-25, loan expiring Dec-25 - whereas in my game his loan expires Dec-24

I confirm the “Classic FM - +1 Age and Contract Years.fmf”  is enabled in Game Setup, and I don't think I'm using other editor data files that might be conflicting. My current set up has FMRTE's Custom Future Start Date (have tried Dec-24, Jan thru Apr-25), MasterIgor's UEFA, Conmebol, etc. edits, Daveincid's Increased Realism, Sortitoutsi's Licenses Fixes, Nik33's Agents pack, TMC's Euro, Finalissima and World Cup fixes, Rob's History Updates and Fuller's ETCH, ITCH and ATCH. I also tested using only Classic FM's data update, no other editor data changes and the issue persists. I have also tried performing a clean game install, also without success.

EDIT: I do want to play with FMRTE's Custom Future Start Date and maybe that's related to the issue?

Hi! I'm having a strange issue I never had before. 

I always used the regular data update but now upgraded to Classic FM's. I'm also using FMRTE's custom start date set in Dec-24 basically to play from the start of 2025. 

The issue is I noticed contracts that should be expiring in Dec-25 are set to expire in Dec-24. I checked and “Classic FM - +1 Age and Contract Years.fmf” is properly located in my editor data folder so not quite sure what's going on. 

I've used FMRTE's custom start date files before and never encountered this issue. Any clues on what might be going on?

EDIT: further testing - I get the same issue using the regular data update instead of Classic FM's. I've also tried and a January 2025 start date “fixes” contracts, i.e. those expiring Dec-24 now expire Dec-25 but all players that are supposed to be in/out on loan have returned to their respective clubs, so this is wrong as well.

Is there a way to mass-edit the “Classic FM - +1 Age and Contract Years.fmf” file and add 1 more year to everything?

Hi Masterigor, thanks so much for this, this is awesome! quick question, any luck trying to fix the FIFA Club World Cup to work in 2025? I am using a late 2024 or 2025 custom start date and would like to play this competition in 2025

Sorry did not see post above saying its not possible to run it in 2025.. that sucks! 😢
