I was having the same issues, after many many many hours of messing around I have got mine to work.

 

I placed my sports interactive folder into OS: Program files x86.

 

Having done this I then loaded football manager and went to preferences in game, type location in at the top bar and change the file location to match where you have just placed your sports interactive folder into.

Hello, its my first time installing an updated database, I dont have the option to select the files when setting up the new game, I have installed, unzipped, placed in the editor data folder but does not seem to work for me.

 

any help is appreciated 🙂
