One specific thing that is worth checking for is whether you've ended up with two files for Turkey, specifically:

 

soritoutsi.net FM24 Data Update - Turkey (League).fmf

soritoutsi.net FM24 Data Update - Türkiye (League).fmf

 

I would recommend looking in the ‘editor data’ folder itself. If this is the case, please delete the ‘Turkey (League)’ one - it will be from an older update. With these two files present and enabled, you will have the sort of in-game clash that will prevent you from starting a game.

 

The cause of this is a change in this filename between versions, some time ago.

 

Just reinstalled and tried this method out, and I'm happy to say it worked so thank you!

Click in the top right there will be an issue of some kind. Most likely you have conflicting files from another data update.

 

Thanks for the quick reply, when I unzipped the data update and replaced it into the editor data folder, I replaced every old file, so I don't think there are any conflicting files from any older data update, since all files are from the most recent one. Also, I went one by one and unticked a few files to try and locate a specific one that was causing the issue but nothing worked. I have now resorted to uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

I've downloaded the most recent database update, installed it in the correct file, and for some reason I cannot start a new game.
