Dan did you try the windows restore version for me. Football Manager automatically creates a backup save. Within your save game folder there should be a file called ‘last save overwrite backup.fm’. This save will be a copy of the save game you last saved over. Please try this save to see if it loads. Have you tried this I would imagine you have already

Thanks dan om goodness you have a little one boy or girl so being awake early is a nailed on 😂😂 I wake early as I have just retired and still not use to late sleep 25 years on nights I think my brain as forgot how to shut down

Hi can anyone help earlier this week a kind person sent me a default face pack which i had lost sadly I have the same problem a gain could anyone guide me to find these 

Hello Dan I am sorry to hear that please excuse me for bothering you when your unwell. the answer to your question is yes you find your sports interactive folder here Open Finder.
- Click the ‘Go’ menu in the menubar.
- Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key.
- Click the ‘Library’ item in the menu.
- Go into the folder named ‘Application Support’ then ‘Sports Interactive’
- Click into the ‘Football Manager 2022’ folder if it is not

if it is not there you need to find it on your mac copy or drag it into your appdata i think this may be your problem after all this where everything is stored. if it does not work i will continue to find a solution I am an early riser 4am every morning and I am on it as soon as i have had my coffee 😂 please let me know after you feel better good luck my friend keep in touch

I have a problem not knowing what you may have tried so please excuse me if you have already done these things. May I ask a question Dan when did this happen for the first time

Dan can you try this also Go to your games folder (normally C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\Games). Right click on the games folder and click properties then the previous versions tab. You should have some old versions.

Dan did you shut down properly last time you saved wondering if the data may be corrupted you may know all this but i am determined to help you dan because i know how i get stressed when things go wrong in my FM IE like my logos faces and kits disappearing. Dan can you please try and load your saved game via cloud cheers mate

Before i post my question i would like to apologies if i have posted this in the wrong place. I wonder  if anyone can tell me how i find this default face in football manager 24 i have looked everywhere i want to change it I want to say thank you in advance for any help I might receive 

Dan can you send me a screen shot of the inside of your appdata folder thank you I have a plan want to test it first don't want to cause any further damage to your game I would feel very bad

Dan just found this 1. Go to Steam Library
2. Right-click on ‘Football Manager 2023’ -> ‘Properties…’ -> ‘Betas’
3. Open the dropdown list -> select ‘Public-beta - Protected builds for public use’
4. Click the ‘X’ in the top right corner of the pop-up to close the properties window
5. You should see a small update to FM23
6. Once the update has been completed, click ‘Play’

I'm sorry dan i don't have face book i am still checking stuff out the problem seems to be around the appdata folder I promise I will drop a text the minute I have a solution bless you dan

Dan i have checked something out it appears that the problem lies in the appdata folder the thing i have noticed most people have dragged their saved games to another location IE desktop or a new fold you have created. Then delete the appdata fold then create a new one drag your games back in assuming you have any clear cache and reload skin if you have done this already please let me know

dan can you check if they have saved to cloud and what version of FM are you playing 23 or 24

Ok My friend I will get back to you sorry I was working on the premise of a windows not a mac so now I can look a fresh and thank you for your kind words I truly hope I can help I get so frustrated at peoples lack of in depth information when you have a problem

Dan can I ask did you attempt to load a game while already playing a game I did this and my game crashed i deleted the save game folder in my FM and created a new one I lost 2 saved games but all as been well since I wont do it again😂

The reason I ask is i was having this problem then I found all my stuff was being saved to cloud instead of my c: file path but I feel sure you already know this anyway but wanted to eliminate things so I can look at other ideas thanks Dan

oh ok dan when did this start I love fixing stuff so please let me check it out I will update you ASAP Dan have you checked on the preference screen to where your games are being saved. I am so sorry I sent all that stuff when you did not need it

Thank you Dan I am well. Hope you are also. Dan the files I refer to are in the face packs you download not in any of the files you sent me. They are in Sports interactive/footballmanager/graphics/faces. You will find that when you search in these folders you cannot find an individual face or config file it will say no results found if this happens to you then please follow these steps 1. download FMxml folder from google.2 in sortitoutsi there is a folder called FMRef.com ( You can use this to search ids ) 3. you will need a file to convert webb pics to png's I use EZGIF.com. ok when you have all those. 4 Open your face pack folder. 5. if you have searched for a missing player and you have found him/her via the FMREF.com drag his picture into the PNG converter and change from Webb to PNG. Right click on the Webb picture and copy the id number. Then right click on the PNG picture and copy the ID to the PNG pic. Delete the Webb Picture so you don't get confused. Then drag this new PNG face into your face folder. open your FMXML folder. Then if you look at the top of the face pack folder there will be a line where you opened the file from  IE graphics faces faces for me drag this into the long search bar on the xml folder by default make config.xml file and faces will already be ticked leave them alone unless your doing Kits or Logos. make sure All Filenames are ID's. now click go the first message you get will be a yes or no answer option click yes the next screen will be the new created Config file. All Done click close. Dan I have a tip in your pictures folder in your laptop ( not your face pack pictures ) it is your standard save pictures folder in desktop, downloads, Documents, Pictures I am sure you know what you are doing I hope you do not think I am undermining your Knowledge.  OK last thing Dan if I have got the wrong end of the stick then ignore all this. But if you do need the help Dan I check my sortitout  forum every hour or so. The screenshot of fm is to show how all my faces work God bless Dan. Andy. By the way Dan if you have problems with Kits Or Logos you can do this exactly the same as face packs. You can see the other options on the XML screenshot I sent you.

Hello dan please excuse my ignorance do you mean that you are having problems. Or are you trying to help me. Please excuse my confusion.

If you are having trouble with face packs or logos etc. i would be delighted to give you my config files. So you can add to your face pack folder. i would love to be of assistance to you if so. But if you are thinking i need help i have sorted the problem and have a full contingent of faces logos kits ( Apart from the ones that pop up during my games which I replace while playing ) by using this method. Hello Dan please excuse me if I have sent this to the wrong place not been here long trying to post about missing Face packs, Logos, ECT 

I am a complete novice when It comes to this, but I could not find a solution online so I have delved into the problem myself  it appears that for some reason ( I really do not Know ) but on adding new graphics that the config files disappear I have checked all through and tried it with nearly every Face pack I could download and it happens to all of them so if you find your graphics have gone one morning when you wake up I have found an Answer simply find one missing player from your pack and open FM xml folder add the player to your face pack and drag the the file into the FM xml folder and create a new config. it should bring all your faces or logos ECT back. If this does not work try to find a config file from your faces download pack and drag that in and then do the XML creator again and produce a config file it will override anything  in there. Again Dan I send my sincere apologies if this was not allowed I wanted to try to help as I have seen many post of peoples frustration Anyway thank you for your time. Hope you can send this to the correct place. By the way if someone as sorted this already then ignore this text I am a little late to the FM party Kind regards Andy   

Sorry I am a complete newbie with this so if this message is in the wrong place i want to apologize it is to do with the graphics disappearing in FM  i noticed after it all went missing that all the pictures were there but in the files there were not any config files so i copied the config files from previous downloads and they all came back hope it helps i had no problems with kits or trophies just logos and face packs so i added all those config files. and like i said it is all back
